Really digging the new george michael song White Light! Reminds me some of his 90s music that kinda euphoric electric in a way....im impressed.

Which reminds me i was planning on delving into his back catalogue at some point But i dig it its pretty slick and reminds me a bit of PSB style production in some ways too.

I like it too JP it is reminiscent of his earlier dance songs with a nice modern twist better than True Faith a good but bad effort.

And i love GM especially Faith and Older in particular just a perfect album always gutted we never got Listen Without Prejudice Volume 2 Too Funky was a great indicator at a more dance orientated album with buckets of funk.

I'm listening to my Tim Minchin live album. Yay! The same gig I went to see at the O2 Arena back in December 2010. Such a funny show, and I'm singing along to all the songs

Yes i haven't listened to patience in its entirety but i'd give that a spin too.

and i know its a shame as he never has had a bad album and his directions and sounds were amazing its a shame.

Totally been reading on wiki about his album by album success critically and commercially etc, and it is so sad that Michael let himself fall short of his status which IMO he really deserves within Pop tbh....i mean much like Madonna, MJ,Springsteen and Prince are the heads of their genres (Like A Boss! ) Michael is very much a contemporary alongside the likes of Kylie et al. and he let himself fall short

Faith sold over 25 million globally and Listen Without Prejudice sold less than 6 million (while good for some) within 3 years he was already tainted with that paintbrush ....again mainly due to identity crisises....he didnt know whether to remain the image he presented in the media, appeal to a mature market or keep the fanbase he had. Older also sold similar in 1996 but became his biggest selling album in the UK and Patience became the fastest selling album of 2004 but dropped dramatically too

But regardless....im gonna have 4 more albums in my life soon i hope from him and wonder if he has a new one coming up and attem

and LM.....really not that good today had a nosebleed most of last night and this morning my head is spinning!

Exactly JP his conflicts with Sony worsened the situation and I think with LWP if he had released the dance orientated Volume 2 he could have recovered sales and be revered and bigger than he is and was but alas and it's with getting his albums brilliant.

And sorry bout the nosebleed hope your not too bad.

I could never get into Angel. I even tried to get into the show Xena orginated from called Hercules and i couldn't get into. The chemistry between Hercules and his companion is just nothing like Xena and Gabby. The chemistry between them two was amazing and truly the heart of the show

I am checking out some new music. Scissor Sisters, Gossip and Garbage. I am really won over by Gossip. Beth Ditto is just amazing. I have admired her for years who just who she is and what stands for.

again HM its the what ifs? again...but nevertheless he at least has record sales, and a certain status tbh.

Still will buy those 4 albums eventually

And yeah i went on a coast walk to clear my head so recovering.

I know what you mean LM....Angel is very acquired taste....i mean nothing on earth can ever touch Buffy....but Angel is a fave show definitely....but the entire angle on Angel is very different yet has a similar template and often borrows storylines from its parent show ....but Buffyverse>>>> life! And interesting as i always found Angel much like Xena too with dark past and making amends for it. And Hercules is rubbish...i loved the Callisto crossover episodes mainly for HER....but that show is awful -_- "oh look ladies i have hurt myself" Xena is kick ass as a character and the cast chemistry gets you far more into it and still rewatching has the same impact its brilliant!

And WOO!! glad you have given them a try adore garbage and gossips latest output is amazing! And love some Scisoring too

Josh, i really like Gossip. Mainly from their fourth album onwards. Their first three albums don't do it for me. Music for Men, such an amazing album and A joyful Noise is so different but still a solid album

I can't adjust to Scissor sisters. I've never liked them and after listening to all four albums, it just confirmed what i thought originally.

Garbage, again i couldn't get into them but i appreciate them for what they have done

totally certified himself as an icon of his generation and i love that people are being more positive towards him...though with his media backlash and stints of whatever happened in public toilets and park benches etc the music is what it should be....private life not being the centrefold of criticism!

But yeah must get those albums

And BD i got into (again fitting my nerdy stereotype) when i saw the Watchmen film a couple years back and i loved the Times Are A Changin song....makes it harder to get into his other stuff with that one making a lasting impresion on me but i may have to at some point

Anyways i have Depeche Mode sussed (still have a few more to get but hey they will wait...for now) but i need an injection of some Bowie in here too....and some Michael then and then whatever new records are coming this year...im hot tipped for No Doubt, grace jones and Xtina for later this year and the hot speculation of Janelle Monae and Lana Del Rey releasing material later this year too...please Janelle i cannot wait
