It seems that Reni was having problems with the sound in his headset all through the gig and didn't want to come back out for that reason.

The crowd were no way near as enthusiastic as Warrington/Barcelona (perhaps that's not surprising for Amsterdam though. I read an update on FB from a guy who went out for the show and got so stoned with his friends he could hardly stand by the time the gig started!) An encore is a treat for a great crowd. If the'd been more responsive maybe Reni would have made the effort?

I don't like that version of Fools Gold at all.

These aren't warm up shows though. Warrington was a warm up show, Barcelona and Amsterdam weren't.

Hopefully everything is sorted out and they play in Sweden tomorrow.

Anyone who thought this reunion would be anything but a train wreck must be living in cloud cuckoo land. I had a £100 bet with a delusional mate that all the members would not play every gig of this tour. I know my money is safe. I doubt they will all make it to Heaton Park.

Im a huge fan myself, but have known from the start that it will be a disaster.

Tomorrow! Pretty excited, just hope the weather is good as I don't fancy getting soaked and wading around in mud.

Hoping to get there early doors, although as long as I'm there by 17:25 for The Vaccines I'll be happy.

Just back home from the gig last night.

Absolutely amazing. Was a bit worried that Brown's voice would last the gig but he did well.

Fantastic crowd as well.

i went last night (saturday), didnt have tickets but stood quite near and could hear it well and see the stage for the last few songs when they opened the wide gate ready for people to come out. I saw some of friday nights footage on youtube and ian browns singing didnt sound great but actually at the concert or near the concert im my case, it sounded fine

Your £100 isn't looking very safe .Amazing gig last night, was definitely one of those "i was there" moments. All 4 members seemed genuinely happy to be there

I love the Stone roses and I think it was the right time for them to make a comeback look the bands they Infulences The Charlantans,Oasis and Gomez even Beck and Badly Drawn Boy and recently Lily Allen and Green. As for people wan'ting a Smiths comeback I don't think that will happen since Moz can't stand the people in the band they can't stand him.I remember seening Ian Brown in Aberdeen in 2006 and seen the love in the crowd for him was just amazing also saw Big Arms that day as well it was a night to remember.Hope this gig come's out on DVD soon would have love to be there and seen it.

Probably my favourite was "this is the one",got everyone going again towards the end of the gig! was a very tight set and some of the instrumentals were amazing, especially during "fools gold".

Like i said i checked out some youtube footage of ian browns singing from the friday night gig and expected it to be terrible but it didnt sound too bad last night, even though i was stood near entrance 1 listening outside the perimiter fence

Last Night was fantastic, I was front of the barrier at the side so had a great view. Plus all the vip's walked in front of us to watch bands. Saw John Bishop 4 times lol He seems a nice guy was shaking hands with everyone each time he went past as was Dynamo. Chris Moyles ignored everyone though.

Interesting set list - all of the first album, only two from The Second Coming - I thought they might've included How Do You Sleep, Breaking Into Heaven or Begging You - wish I could've got a ticket though, seeing them at Sheffield Arena on their last major tour in the 90s was great...

Thanks for that, would be interesting to hear Don't Stop considering it's Waterfall reversed

Went on Friday and the band themselves were fantastic. Amazing setlist and a great atmosphere, everyone was really friendly, didn't see any trouble or anything.

The organisation was poor though. Nowhere near enough bars, poor service and no queuing system. Even when it wasn't that busy early on we queued for about 30 mins for bottles of Fosters at £4. We ended up buying 5 each and making them last. By the time we tried to go again the queues were well over an hour.

Manchester city centre was chaos before too, took us ages to actually get to Heaton Park and then afterwards we had to walk all the way back to Manchester which took 1 hour 15 mins.

The gig itself was good enough to make up for the bad bits though.
