Memorable Video Game Characters
From the video games you have played which characters left an impression on you that you still recall their part in the video game and could be considered by you to be a memorable character.
For example in Alex Kidd in Miracle World there are three characters called Stone Head, Scissors Head and Paper Head. Always seem to recall that sequence where you have to compete against them in Janken Matches. It doesn't matter how well known they are, as long as you consider them to be a memorable character in a video game. |

Hercules in God Of War 3. Hearing about his jealousy and hatred for Kratos (his half brother) and the lengths he went through to gain the attention of his father was fantastic. The cherry on top was the voice casting of Kevin Sorbo followed by some good old fashioned sibling rivalry.

You know one that used to haunt my childhood and I still regularly recall today is probably not well known at all, but still so memorable to me. On the Sega Megadrive as a child I had Talmit's Adventure (Marvel Land in Japan) and after each Stage's levelset there would be a boss level, and at the end of Stage 3 there was a female rival called Princess A La Mode, a fun and friendly card matching challenge, but she looked so evil and demonic it has always stood out to me and made such an impression when I was younger I was intimidated and worried when getting closer to that part of the game.
I love our perceptions of games when we are younger, just think our imaginations have a life of their own at that age! |

Apart from the common ones (Sonic, Mario, Wonderboy), one of my memorable video games characters was the adventurer in Golvellius on the Sega Master System. I remember receiving the game one Christmas and feeling a bit disappointed simply down to the fact that I'd never heard of the game before, but when I played it, I found that it was actually fantastic. Another memorable character that didn't quite make it but I actually quite enjoyed was Greendog. It was a Mega Drive platform game, fairly standard stuff, but I quite liked him. He was one of those 90s cool dudes, with shades and everything, but I think he flopped.

"Moira" in Fallout 3. I was irritated by the character at first, but grew to love it eventually.
'Veronica' in Fallout New Vegas. She had a fine line in winding up her humourless BOS friends..lol |

Godot from Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations - Wise and comes out with some cracking lines. "You're saying that if something isn't normal, it simply isn't possible? Where does that leave the porcu-headed lawyer and the topknot chick over there... and the ungodly cool guy with the mask over here?"

Jools and Jops. I would always try to get them through as many levels as possible and it was always sad when the inevitable happened. (Cannon Fodder for anyone not old enough to remember)
Rick Dangerous, the 8bit eras Nathan Drake. And I still remember the guy from the FMV in Need for Speed on the 3DO, whenever I think NFS I think of the classic line "Red lining it all the way and making it pay" which was the video that played out when you got a top time. |
