Sian Williams is another great signing if it comes true - I always enjoy watching the elder females (40+) progressing in Strictly.

I'd still love Penny Smith to sign up for and am sure she'd be a hit and would draw some more male viewers.

I really don't want to see Strictly recycling reality show zelebs - however nice they might be - it's tacky. I suppose there might be one or two reality peeps who've taken their 'opportunity' and made something from it which would merit some degree of celebrity, but none spring to mind (and I'm not counting spin-off reality shows )

...and for what it's worth, Nancy's and Jo Woods' claims to celeb status were pretty dubious imo. Contestants don't need to be superstars in my book, but a personal connection to someone famous just doesn't cut it. I ended up quite liking Jo as it happens, but they should stick with people known for achieving something in their own right.

Exactly - I don't care how minor the celeb is but they should at least have done something worthwhile and come to the public eye through what they achieved .....and that doesn't mean being a 'model' or 'photographer' that happens to be dating a famous rock star.......yes you Penny Lancaster quite a nice person but still should never have been on Strictly IMO - there should be some quality control!

The WAGS and zelebs can always do DOI, CBB or IAC if they want to raise their profile! Please leave Strictly for real celebs!

If Sian is anything like Bill, we could be in for a very entertaining ride!

Can see her working well with Artem or Vincent- but as she's only 5'1, I imagine she is more likely to go with Vinnie or Robin.

By the sounds of it, Michael Vaughan is a definite now. There's an article about his post cricket career in the Sheffield (?) paper and mentions Strictly as pretty definite "although he has been sworn to secrecy"....

Oh I'm glad to hear that. I think they'll give him to either Natalie or Erin

He would suit Erin more. His personality is very quiet and dry, so maybe would compliment Erin who is quite lively

There is the possibility that she could be given to Pasha. Sian is 5ft 2- I think Pasha is 5ft 10 so three inch heels that would be a suitable height difference

Of course it would have been so much easier had Darren still been on the show as she could have made a good partnership with him

Do bear in mind that the majority of the celeb ladies will only wear 2.5" heels to dance in and some people less than that. And if 3", its usually only for Latin. As far as I can remember, its only Nancy who insisted on killer heels.

Cont: I thought Sian was 5'1". Even if she is 5'2", then she will only be up to 5'5" ish in heels. Personally I think that Pasha would be too young looking to complement Sian well enough.

When Sian and Vincent danced on CIN it was a group performance not an individual dance so I can see no reason why they could not be paired together this time. I think they would do quite well.

Spot on, especially regarding the endless brown-nosing from all involved if any of them took part!

Agree totally. No WAGS, ex- wives/girlfriends/boyfriends, reality show contestants, general hangers on.

Any one who's done something is fine.

Some wildlife perhaps?

Steve Backshall, Liz Bonnin or Kate 'Umble?

Usually someone from ITV breakfast - GMTV / Daybreak
For some reason ITV breakfast has nearly always had a contestant on Strictly

Of the newly announced Daybreak lineup - Aled has already done Strictly -
Lorraine hardly ever turns up to do her own show - let alone commit to Strictly.

So Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh who are named as the "first hour" presenters are most likely

My bet would be Matt Barbet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Barbet
as Ranvir Singh has just had a baby / on maternity so would not be likely to commit to learning to dance with a newborn baby in tow as well as starting the Daybreak gig.

Unless Chris Evans is doing it, as he is such a heavyweight breakfast celeb they may not want to pitch anyone "against" him.

Ranvir could want to lose the baby weight though - but I agree that if any of them do it, it'll be Matt.

I was thinking it could maybe be Matt Johnson from This Morning.

He'd still fit the ITV Morning Presenter role.

That name triggered a thought - are you continuing the game starring him that you were doing a few months or so back? Although I gather you are(/were) fairly busy?

If I was a gambling man, I'd say it's going to be a good year for Martine McCutcheon

She said she couldn't commit to a full series, but that was back in 2010, so...
