A show set in the past would help clear up unanswered questions

I remember that time when the Losties were living in the Others' Barracks and thought that a spin-off sitcom with Hurley and Sawyer as housemates would be really funny

The encounter in the church was outside of time. But the island, from a linear perspective, just carried on; different visitors, different personnel, different adventures, but presumably it carried on until all life on earth ended. The series was just the interaction between "our" particular characters and the island.

Yeah I knew Ben had Hurlrey took over.
If a a spinoff was going to happen it would have to be set after Ben and Hurley which could be interesting, even somthing with Walt and new recruits

Surely the essence of Lost was the large numbers of mysteries and strange events. It took 6 years and about 120 episodes to explain them all.

The series is still mentioned a lot, and always what is said is that things were not explained. Nonsense of course. It was the nature of Lost to make explanations almost impossible for any person to 'get' them, because the explanations were given, literally, years after the events. One could only fathom thigs out by discussion and theorising with fellow watchers, and of course the web.

But now the mysteries are explained, and there is no point in merely adding on more plot, which would be bound to be much more conventional stuff. I suppose an episode could be made, say about Ben and Hurley, but there would be nothing in that for anybody.

If you want more Lost, why not download and watch the Chronological Lost? It has an interesting use of split screens at times when things are in sync in Island time but many years apart in viewer time.

Thanks so much for mentioning this JohnBee, I just finished my first re-watch since the show ended, and was bereft once again at no more LOST. So I downloaded this earlier in the week and started watching yesterday. I love it so far! Good shout, cheers

Found - The harrowing tale of a man who goes shopping with his wife every Saturday, only to lose her in the crowds. After minutes of searching, he finds her and all is well again.

I think it would work with a new cast, but not a reboot a continuation. And later in the series some original characters could return, I think that would be great, but it could get a bit repetitive as it's basically the same show with a different cast.

Definitely set in the past. I was always interested in the Island mythology.

Jack wakes up, Kate's in the shower, Season 6 was a terrible dream. The incident causes another series of time jumps showing us a lot more about the history of the island.

The Adventures of Vincent.

Basically a Littlest Hobo remake with Vincent in the lead role.
