Does the 3DS XL come with the AR cards like the original 3DS did?

And where can I buy a case for the 3DS XL?

My current 3DS zip case will be too small for the 3DS XL.

This is the case that I currently have.

I would like to get a similar case for the 3DS XL as I really like the case that I currently have because it has space to store game and the 3DS has not got flimsy piece of plastic protecting it.
maybe game or gamestation will sell cases..?

Not anymore for Zavvi.com. They're charging £167.95 for a 3DS XL, whilst GameStop.co.uk is charging £169.97. I'm tempted to switch my pre-order but who has pre-ordered a console from Zavvi.com before? Unlike games when Zavvi take payment when it gets dispatched, for consoles they take payment as soon as the order is made. Same apply for pre-orders of consoles?

Using the code SUMMERSAVER brings the price at Zavvi to £157.95

it does look good, nice to see the matte finish is back. home/start/select buttons look better. the 3d slider looks like it could be more robust?

It looks good but what an annoying soundtrack in that video!

There will be a 2nd stick add-on for those that want it.

Mistake I think, I don't own one but people seem to be desperate for it. They should have added one and also added to the requirements that a game cannot require the use of a 2nd stick, it must be optional.

The 3DS XL looks great.

The 3DS XL in that video is the Blue/Black model and seeing it in a video it looks even better than in the pictures.

In the video to me the Blue/Black model looks more like the Auqa Blue colour of my current 3DS.

I am so glad that I Pre-ordered the Blue/Black 3DS XL.

Next week I will be going in to town so I will take a look in our Game store and see if they have an 3DS XL demo machines.

Roll on July 28th.

I've not got a 3DS so I'm really considering getting this. Think I may wait till my birthday in October until I get it, hopefully the price will come down a bit as I don't really want to pay about £180 plus having to buy a charger - the last handheld I have is the DS. Think I'll get it in the blue, looks really nice and a lot of games to play as well.

I don't really like it so won't be getting a 3DSXL, looks too big and bulky to me for carrying around. The regular sized 3DS is just fine for me.

The 3DS XL is roughly the size of the DSi XL, same as the 3DS is the nearly the size as the DS Lite.

I think when they meant that it's their biggest portable console ever, they meant screen wise. The screens are still bigger than the DSi XL's, but manages to fit inside the size of the shell.

Never really caught the 3DS bug but must admit I'm tempted by the 3D XL. Already got it sitting in my basket at Amazon, just wondering what the best 2 games were to get for it? I'm thinking Zelda and...? Anyone?

and.... Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 7.

New Super Mario Bros. 2, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon will both be out later this year and will all be must have games

I'm preasuming that Gamestation or Game will offer a deal of getting the 3DS XL for about £50 if I trade in my 3DS so I may get one if I can do this. There isn't really many games for 3DS that I do play I just play my Pokemon games really but I really like the 3DS so want the XL but I don't want to pay too much for it seeing as I have already forked out for the standard. So I'll see this as an upgrade for hopefully not too much

I've been told that it's not allowed for something like this to be sold without an AC adapter. Is this true?

In an ideal world I would happily trade in my 3DS for an XL but I'm probably going to wait to see if there' s way to back up or at least retrieve my eShop and Ambassador content before I do.

You can do a system transfer. You need to have both the 3DS and 3DS XL next to each other and then go in to options and then System transfer.

This is what I will be doing with all my downloaded softwear and Ambassador content from my 3DS to my 3DS XL.

Yeah I know but I doubt they'll let me do that in the shop before I trade it in lol.

This is one of the things that annoys me about Nintendo, this would be a piece of cake on the PS Vita.

I know people that have done the transfer in shops before...
Still, there might be an easier way if Nintendo introduce accounts soon.

As for myself, I can't part with my Zelda 3DS yet... I'm hoping for a Zelda 3DS XL.

On you tube there are now some 3DS XL un boxing videos.

cvg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMQ_FGArMt0

IGN
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORNPhpkt824

And from watching these videos you do get some AR cards in the box. I don't know if they are the same as the ones that came with the current 3DS but I would think that they would be.

Also I looks like the 3DS XL comes with lots of manuals.

it comes with ar cards, manuals but no charger...initially i thought it looked ok but all my family are intrested in is xbox 360 and iphone/ipod...and the more i think of it , i just cant justify the price..

so for the first time since the SNES...

Nintendo. fail

edit

dont get me wrong, im a HUGE nintendo fan and being honest, the lack of the second stick does not bother me because Nintendo will do what they do and give us gems like Luigis Mansion and NSMB2 etc.....

the lack of the charger is ..well just wrong

and they have even made the kid icarus stand redundant.

unless they make a bigger one..

One thing I'm pleased about with the 3DS XL is the fact they've got rid of, the "three tiered wedding cake" style blocky-ness. It kind of makes the original 3DS look like an unfinished prototype.

I'm suprised IGN where allowed to show off the bottom of the console, as Digital Spy weren't allowed to when they got their hands on their copy.
But they weren't allowed to turn the console itself on? Odd as alot of people are familiar with the 3DS homescreen...
