Thanks. I'll bookmark that so I have it handy when I'm setting up my new Mac. I'll still be using my Pro though, the Air isn't a replacement. It's a backup machine and it'll be used a lot in the house (eg surfing while watching TV).

I'm buying myself that Macbook Air I always wanted sometime in August Is it likely all new Macs will have Mountain Lion by then or will they still have Lion with the option to upgrade? And where do I get a Mountain Lion toy?

If you buy from Apple chances are it will come with ML pre-installed by August. Anyway you'd be entitled to a free upgrade if it doesn't.

There is now 64 bit support only throughout.

That confirms it. "32 bit drivers are the culprit."

I'm sure 100% 64 bit OS/X was announced a good 6 months ago.

Thanks. I won't be buying from the Apple store though. I'll likely be buying it from John Lewis or somewhere (I'm coming to the UK to buy it as it's cheaper than in Ireland) The Cuddlekins Mountain Lion looks cute. If I don't see any in a shop I might get that one. I might have a look in a toy shop but I doubt they'll have one. I found it hard to get a Snow Leopard toy but I managed to get one out of the blue. He sits on my bed never seen another one since. If it comes with Lion I'll buy a Lion toy and they're easy to get in any toy shop.

Not as cute as the real thing. Well, at least as a baby.

My iMac 6,1 (late 2006) isn't up to speed for Mountain Leoperd. Shame, I'd have really liked the tighter iCloud integration.

That list is not too bad. My old 24" iMac is safe so that will help with resale value when I sell it. If I were Apple though I would toss some credit for a new machine for the people with 2009 machines.

I wonder if support for NTFS read/write is included yet?

If it isn't I'd like to think my purchased solution for read/write NTFS access would still work.

Also would like to think NoSleep will still work

Both beautiful. My favorite of the big cats. Scary though when you see or hear the big one in the wild.

If I saw one in the wild I'd run a mile! I think Snow Leopards are even cuter though My Macbook Pro is running that version of OSX.

They're smaller cats but I'd say equally cute as cubs. The mountain lion though I think is the more impressive adult.

He looks like he's watching to see if anyone upgrades or not. I'd run if he was coming after me

Why, would the mountain lion still run after you?

I do wonder how long will Apple keep going with the "big cat" naming. They're getting into fairly niche species already.

Probably until OS XI, Or OS X 11, or whatever they're going to call it.

My old white 2008 MacBook won't be able to run ML, but my iMac will but not all features will works, such as AirPlay mirroring, which is a shame because it's one of the features I was most looking forward to. Airparrot has similar functionality though.

I'll probably upgrade to a MacBook Air next year to replace the MacBook.

Probably until they run out of big cats. Anyway I'm getting my Macbook Air next week. My dad's going to the UK and getting it for me. It'll have Lion but will be eligible for upgrade. I told him to get a Lion toy rather than a Mountain Lion one Are there any issues with Office 2008 and Lion?

Of course, you would be nothing but prey for it. Running would simply trigger an instinctive attack response.

How is a Mountain Lion a niche species? We have plenty of them here in America and other countries in this part of the world.

I could see them switch to a bird naming scheme, for example hawks and eagles.

How did you find out mirroring will not work with your iMac?
