I attended a Buffy convention, about 10 years ago or maybe more. The Trio seemed to get on fantastically out of character. Everyone, but James Marsters in particular, was very complementary about the staff. James specifically mentioned that SMG would stay around for all filming, not just do her close-ups and then leave the stunt doubles to do the rest.

It sounds like SMG is an absolute professional at work, but just doesn't mix business with pleasure. Nothing wrong at all with that. It's always seemed weird to me that we're all expected to socialise with our work colleagues 24/7 and not have a life away from them.
