Last week ended with a zombie shootout and this one ended with a western style shootout.

I don't know why Lori went to fetch Rick when she knew he'd be back anytime with Hershel and Glenn. They should've finished the episode with walkers closing in on Lori trapped in the car.

I see why Rick shot the two guys, but from a story point of view was it done to demonstrate to us (the audience) that he can still act when need be, and to show Hershel and perhaps Glenn that he will as the leader do what it takes to protect the group?

I think he shot them as a way of showing hershel that he wouldnt be bringing any other outsiders to their farm, maybe as a way of trying to get on his good side so the group can stay living there.

It bugged me when lori went after rick as he could easily have driven back another route so they might not have crossed paths and she could have got to the now empty bar and encountered walkers. Meanwhile rick would be pulling up at the farm unaware that she had gone.

Do we all think that the girl who collapsed was just in shock or has she been infected somehow?

He shot at them because they were going to shoot at him. Rick was just protecting his assets: the farm. If you watch the scene carefully you'll notice they each go to one side of him; one behind, one in front. And if you watch the moment Rick shoots the thin guy, you'll see the thin guy reaching for his gun just as Rick pulls his up and shoots. The girl is just in shock.

I don't believe Lori has told anyone she's gone. Though Daryl will guess where she is I suppose (since she asked him to go).

I look forward to the next episode. The people who said stick with the season were right.

It just gets better and better; the pace picks up and there's a lot more action, especially compared to the earlier half of the season. There's some absolutely stunning moments yet to come (one of which is the beginning of next week's episode; don't miss a second of it!) and some great shocks too. It all builds up to a fantastic finale which is unmissable TV.

Because the condition of the sick woman had deteriorated to the point that she needed expert medical attention urgently.

And because these people are so stupid they haven't yet got their communications worked out. If they had CB radios or walkie-talkies or whatever, she could just have radioed him. Anyone getting into trouble could radio for help. Many of their problems are caused by poor communications. If Sofia had a walkie-talkie she'd not have been lost for long.

Yeah, CB radios are really easy to track down and use, especially when half the world is dead....

Also, Sofia was lost in a forest, I've no idea about coverage but I'm willing to bet it wouldn't be that good, continuing to leave them with communication issues.

Let's not also forget that the heavy-set dude sent up a red flag when he asked about cuze(cooze). The women at the farm would fall victim to being raped. Rick's cop instinct is well-honed when it comes to renegades or perps like those two at the bar (sorry, I forget their names).

I have never been a fan of Lori. If she falls at the hands of walkers, I would cheer. Wow, I even surprised myself there.

They've had several months. They had a whole city to explore. Rick did actually have some kind of walkie-talkie earlier, that he used to talk to the black guy from the first episode. Mostly though, they don't even try. It seems whenever they need a bottle of aspirin, they make another trip to the pharmacy. It doesn't occur to them to strip the place of everything of value in one fell swoop.

On the other hand, they wouldn't need a lot of range there, since she was so close. Only a few minutes walk from the road.

And again, the thing is, they don't try. They did not consider radios but decide not to bother because sometimes they'd be in woods and the coverage would be poor.

Um, no, I don't think so. Like I said, the condition of the sick woman deteriorated. That was new information Rick (and Herschel) didn't have; I thought it was reasonable enough. (Of course, she should have told someone she was going, and asked for permission to borrow the car.)

I don't see the problem. They got on famously when she thought Rick was dead. Although I'm not a fan of Lori, I don't hold that against her at all. And I am a fan of Shane; he does everything he can for Lori and Carl and the group, he's risked his life countless times.

I thought the bar scene was very good. You could feel the awkwardness Rick was feeling and the tension in the air. Anyone else agree ?

I don't hate her for it and I never said it, but I him because he's a mildly psychotic dick who won't take no for an answer. Yes, his points are quite often valid but he doesn't need to behave like that, he could try restraining himself. It would make things a lot easier for the group..

Considering the city is rammed with zombies. They can't go back in just like that.

But i do agree with you about the Pharmacy. Take as much as you can carry rather than making 25 trips.

Although i'm a fan of Sara wayne Callies from Prison Break. Hopefully they keep her storyline the same as the comics, Her & the baby get shot dead by the governer which i think could serve series finale this season.

The reason they don't strip it is because they know other survivors meet need things from it too. There's a sign in the window in one scene which says something along the lines of 'take only what you need'. That's the problem with this group; they've adjusted to the walkers, but they're still far too human to survive in this type of World. Of course they are that way so that we, the viewer, can connect with them, but as you say, realistically anyone in this situation would stuff other groups and get their own back. I think once they start to meet other humans who have adjusted to the new World, and in a way, have lost their humanity, then this group may, themselves, start to think more about themselves and less about others.

Another great ep last night! The poor man who became impaled!

Im disliking shane even more now. Complaining about the man they bought back saying they should send him away because people will be looking for him. Doesnt he stop to think that he is a guest at the farm? Maybe herschel thinks there might be more people looking for the group.

Does anyone know how many more eps are left in the series?

The first thing to do with the new man is to find out more about the other group.

The second thing is to find out more about him - he might be a suitable addition to their group. After all, how did our group get together is the first place?

It is difficult for us in the UK to realise how many people in the USA know about guns - luckily our group seems to have a good supply of ammunition!

Thats exactly what i said, most of the main group didnt know each other for a start but they seem to forget that. For all they know the new guy might be a med school student who would be useful if they lose herschel. I really dont think his friends will look for him as they think by now hes been eaten alive so no real threat atm.

So It's looking more and more likely that Channel 5 won't bother pick up the right's for season 3.

Season 2 has been rating awful for them compared to season 2.


So UK viewers better find another way to watch season 3 in October

Where did you read this ? I have FX so i'm ok but it does suck if people don't have that channel.
