Why is Irani going to the Bobby Robson golf weekend? I can understand Al going with other footballers, but why the 3-capped idiot?

Cheers Al, for your parting shot before you leave for the airport. ''I hope you all have a wet, cold weekend.''
Well Al, you and the parrot are gloating, nasty freeloading kings.
I hope justice will be done one day, cos what goes around comes around.
You two are the most hated presenters on radio.

I so genuinely and seriously hope this is a complete one-off covering top boxing fight-nights because all they'll do is ruin it like they've just about ruined everything else they've ever covered. Nobody can beat the BBC for boxing nobody, no matter how over-excited they get during a bout, no matter how many times they tell us we're listening to it on talkSPORT, no matter how may commercials they play in between rounds they will not beat BBC Radio 5's coverage nor gain more listeners than them providing they are still allowed to air them so why are they bothering.
I love my boxing, I don't want to hear it on talkJOKE.

When is TS broadcasting a top fight? I thought they were doing the waste of space fight between Haye and Chisora?

TS are a disgrace doing this fight....I cant believe they've sunk this low.

It appears The Golf Show will be on air the following Sunday to preview The Open Championship.
Thanks for posting that updated weekend schedule 4-4-2. From checking out the Freeview EPG, I can give you a few more bits of information about Sunday's line-up.

The All Sports Extra show is listed as including reaction to the Wimbledon men's singles final and the British Grand Prix, the former of which Rupert Bell may well be covering for the LTA's in-house RSL station Live@Wimbledon. Apologies if I've missed confirmation of this, but I guess this indicates that Bell will be presenting The Golf Show from next weekend onwards.

Danny Kelly's guest on My Sporting Life this Sunday is 1987 Tour de France champion (and father of one of this year's riders Nicolas) Stephen Roche. A timely guest indeed, should be a good listen.

From 1am on Sunday night/Monday morning, Mike Bovill is scheduled to host Extra Time. I believe this will be his first show he'll be presenting since before Euro 2012. Good to have him back.

Will Saturday's Football First be Jason Euell's talkSPORT debut? I think he may have co-hosted that show before but am not sure, he's appeared as a guest but I haven't heard him do a full three hour + stint. Another recently retired footballer, Lee Carsley, is making his talkSPORT debut this evening, co-hosting Kick-Off with Danny Kelly and Chris Davies.

Joey Barton will wash up on Talksport one day, you watch. They took Keys and Gray when they were toxic waste from Sky and while all the others are moralising about Haye and Chisora , TS have realised it IS a fight people want to watch and they will get listeners in droves.

Morally questionable but great business.

Hi Billy. I think your bang on about the BBC not wanting anything to do with this fight. I've made a similar point over on the radio sports commentators thread. the bbc have come at the whole build-up to the fight from a very negative angle (rightly in many people's oppinions) so to then cover it would have been a bit hypocritical IMO.
I'm not going to criticise talk for covering this fight, people moan that its all football, football, football but when they cover another event, they get slagged off for it. lets be very clear, while I think moraly this fight shouldn't be allowed to happen, no rules are being broken here, so, despite the BBBofC's posturing, there is nothing they can do about it. I'll be tuning in, if only in the hope that Chisora will get beaten to a pulp. knowing David though, he'll run round the ring all night, keep out of trouble and win a snore fest 12 round decision.

The fight is nothing more than a exhibition match, there is nothing on it because neither boxer has any belts or titles too defend ......... I am surprised "Vince McMahon" from WWE did not try to stage the fight as a ladders and cage fight.

This fight will be of no interest to true boxing fans.

I think thats right Billy, the Beeb wont touch this fight.

Im just so disappointed in TS for doing this fight, but then TS has been going downhill for a while now.

I emailed Danny Kelly's show tonight to make that point, I hope it was read out.

If your right VS and I think you are I loudly applaud BBC Radio for refusing to put their money (our money) into Haye or Chisora's bank accounts because these two shouldn't even be in a boxing ring in the first place. I'd never watch Chisora again after what he's done and Haye's had all my money for good after I stupidly bought pay-per-view for the first time ever in my life and sat there watching Haye dance around the ring like a big soft silly schoolgirl for 12 rounds when he lost to Wladimir Klitschko on points.
Broadcasting this fight only proves even further talkSPORT Radio will do anything if there's money in it.

This should be talkSPORT'S signature tune.

I think you will find Billy, if you read the good book that God can only perform miracles.
So you are asking a bit much.

Here here Sleep! Its Murray's year. He's been outstanding all tournament.

I laughed at the interview after the game , he was asked " how hard do you think it was for your Mother & Father watching that game" Andy replied " I don't care, It was harder for me"........I bet he's hard work when he's home and his coach Lendl is not about.

yeah, Murrey has grown on me a lot in recent years. at least he's honest, and, to be fair, it was a bloody stupid question.

After the shambles that was the Drive Show last week coupled with too many helpings of Quinn I am giving TS a miss for a while. I'll tune in for things like the press pass and H&J (unless they have stand-ins). However, I can't stomach the dross anymore. There must be something else on the dial.

Can anyone answer a couple of questions for me.

How much off-tubing goes on at TS? Just heard Dants reporting on qualifying at Silverstone and wondered! Does Jack Bannister do this all the time?

Are stations allowed to do this?

Also, is there some kind of control over the amount of advertising on commercial radio? There are an awful lot of ads on TS.

dipped into a bit of talksport on my way home yesterday, drive were doing a phone in on being hit in the knackers and the perceived brilliance of futsal, it was tenuous at best and just seemed a pointless topic, anyone who called in with any insight into futsal were taken as experts and were just agreed with.

it was just a horrendously researched topic which was dull in the extreme, so dull at one point i switched to absolute to fill the news gap in the tennis
