Should Alfie bin Kat?

In my opinion Alfie should bin Kat as she treats him like dirt!

What's your viewpoint on it?

Yes. Alfie should get with Roxy but ONLY after the reveal is shown
Though Alfie himself looks like he's going through an indie phase wearing that eye liner..

I think he should get with Roxy too.

Hopefully she'll treat him better. Lol well I doubt she could be worse than Kat!

Absolutely! I've never been a particular fan of Alfie, but I actually quite warmed to him when Kat was away and enjoyed his scenes with Roxy. I agree with chocolatecake, let Alfie and Roxy get together eventually so Alfie can finally have some genuine happiness!

Sadly I suspect Kat will probably do her usual sob story and easy touch Alfie will take her back.

Would be nice if writers surprised us though!

I think Alfie will leave Kat and they'll be over.

He'll get with Roxy.

However in the end reunite with Kat.

EE would never have the balls to end this partnership permantently, though the damage has already been done.

No.. I think she should leave him. The marriage is on the rocks. The Slaters have a house so Kat, Jean, Mo and Tommy can go back there. Leave Shenice with Alfie as it was him that wanted her.

EE have not got the guts to split this pair up. It's why Max and Tanya keep getting pushed back together. It's why the Phil/Sharon affair plot is happening. Okay, I'm speculating here, but come on. How much we betting that's what they do?
I wouldn't want to see my favourite couple from 2005 split, but after they have completely and utterly ruined them beyond repair by this point, a strong writer would realize this is the only option.

By extension, Kat's sob story will consist of the usual "101 reasons to blame Alfie"

Yes, their whole relationship is tedious now. I can't stand them together on-screen.

That was epic! What we need is for Alfie to bin Kat, put the lid on and kick it around the Square!

Exactly, but Shane Richie said something in an interview sometme ago - that Kat was meant to be with Alfie or she was with no one. A strong writer, as you say, and an astute EP would see that her character has not only been destroyed beyond repair, but exhausted, and call time on her. But she's a gong-winner, and Eastenders cling onto all of those - Richie, Scott Maslen, John Partridge (who's been reduced to an extra). They only leave when they are ready.

Unless Lorraine Newman is prepared to take Kat down a long road to redemption, which means she loses everything and has to admit her responsibility in the break-up of her marriage, unless we see her work like hell to regain Alfie's love and respect, which will be a rehash of 2005, then she should just go, and Newman shouldn't be afraid to prune the deadwood, which is what she's become.

I seriously don't think they'll have time to spend on the redemption route, because this autumn and winter is all going to be the Sharon-and-Phil Show.

erm phil and sharon are a bit different to the other couples. they havent been together since 2001 and phils got his own storylines going on with the heather story. an affair isnt needed

And Anthony Moon is leaving soon, so with Tyler living with Whitney and Poppy probably leaving with Anthony, the house will be free for them to move in to.

Alfie should definitely stay in the Vic though. Kat has no right to it: he runs most of it. All she does is stand around pouring pints and flirting with the customers.

I'd like them to split. Alfie needs a woman who finds his childlike qualities (which Kat resents) endearing.

I'd like Kat to interact more with female characters. I've always thought she worked better with women and she's some of her spark without her sisters and daughter. I wouldn't mind seeing her end up with Max. In many ways they're two peas in a pod.

Alfie and kat split , Kat ends it and tells him everything. She moves out of the Vic , her Big Mo ,Shenice, Tommy, Jean all move back in the old Slater house

Charlie slater dies off screen Kat hits the drink big time after the death of charlie and her and Alfie splitting,

Then we see Zoe slater return (recast) return with her 6 month old daughter that kat know's nothing about, she decides to clean up her act for Zoe and her granddaughter , Zoe is now a single mum and needs her more than ever.

In the mean-time Kat finds out that Tommy is Alfies dad
Shenice's mother returns who is know a drug addict, Kat fights to save Shenice from her.

Alfie and Roxy get together and she falls pregnant, Roxy keeps the baby, Kat's devastated.
but Alfie is still in love with Kat , and they start 'meeting' up with each other behind a pregnant Roxy's back, after the birth of their daughter Roxy feels Alfie is distant , she's fed up of the square and wants to move to Ibiza she has dreams about her and Alfie running a bar together over there, also Ronnie is due to be released soon, and is planning to join them over there.
Alfie refuses to go and tells Roxy he still loves Kat and he cant leave her.
Roxy's heartbroken but understand and leaves but makes him promise to keep in touch with their daughter Ella.

Kat and Alfie leave the show to make a 'fresh start' with baby Tommy.

BIB I agree with that. The Vic was Alfie's dream. He put all Kat's money into it without consulting her and she was furious. He can pay her off and she could go back on the market. Jean will also have money when Michael pays her back.
Kat works better surrounded by people not isolated as she has been for the last year or so.

It's a no brainer - good to see the results so far reflecting that. Chuck her out of her flat arse Alf and when she lands have her belt go up for the square to see her knickers - mind half the square's men have seen them already. She's GOT to be humiliated which is what she's been doing to Alfie for months. I want to hear him follow her out of the Vic throw her bin bags at her and say "you slag we're finished and I'm the Governor of the Vic, not you."
