Can anyone recommend me a cheap Android phone?
It's not for use as a phone it's for internet use so what ever phone it is doesn't matter, the cheaper the better. Any make, model as long as it's running the Android OS.
Thanks all. |

Agreed. As far as value for money goes £100 gets you a decent phone cheap!

Ain't the Monte Carlo 4.3" ?
For internet I would not bother with anything smaller. |

It's to use on the GiffGaff network, price range around £20-40 maximum. Have a HTC Dream G1 only paid £30 for here which worked fine until the battery stopped charging, replaced battery but still having problems charging up so must be phone.
As I say the phone is not for personal use and just to be used on the internet with giffgaff using a certain Android app. Basically the cheapest thing I can buy on eBay that runs Android is what I'm after. Literally anything as long as it's Android. Just need some makes and models of Android cheapie's I can search for and win one for a good price again on eBay auction.... Thanks all. |

Or you can buy something like a Huawei Blaze/T-Mobile Vivacity for that price on ebay as well. |

It was okay at first, but it has a painful lack of onboard storage for apps that can't be moved to SD. The phone is pretty much crippled at the moment, locked in an endless unwinnable race to free up space. It's either getting rooted or recycled soon. My old Samsung i5500 is a nice backup, and I'd generally recommend Samsung, but as previously mentioned, Orange and Huawei's entry level models seem to be popular and get you a lot of specs for the money. |

Samsung Galaxy Y with O2 PAYG (Usable with gg). £69 with carphone warehouse...Probably the cheapest you will buy new....
Try CEX or other second hand tech outlets or good old ebay for an older used android.... |

I've got a Sony Live with Walkman on 3, great phone for the price (£99.95) but i think they've stopped selling it.
The only downside was the battery, but after installing ICS twice the battery has been amazing, I fully charged it Tuesday evening and it's still on 26%, previously I could get two days out of it at most. The weird thing was, after installing ICS the first time it would lose 50% charge overnight, and now I bet I can get 5 or 6 days out of it! |
