Fryers got too big for his boots, some players just don't realise how lucky they have it!

Moutinho would be a great signing but I can't see it happening.

I think we need two 'big' CM signings this summer. If you think that all we have is Carrick who we can rely on as a 'first elevener' Scholes has age issues, Giggs is in rapid decline IMO and has age issues, Cleverley is largely untested at this level, Anderson is always injured and Fletcher stands about as much chance of a come back as a Nick Clegg popularity surge.

Anyone other than Anderson and Cleverley in the middle of the pitch scares me some what right now. These two (let's discount Fletcher for the time being) are the only ones with any pace in this position. Giggs and Scholes are both old men in football terms, and neither of them have the speed they once had. Carrick nor Park has genuine pace. We need someone with pace in the middle of the pitch, to help close down the opposition, as we proved last year, all to often after we scored we allowed the opposition way too much time on the ball, and we lost games and possibly the title because of it.

This doesn't make any sense. So anyone other than a constantly injured player and someone who is untested - both of whom have never really played together - you'd be worried?

So all of the above is the 'ideal' scenario for you then?

I see where Tribec is coming from - they are the only two "energetic" players (who don't fall over all the time). Our possession was not the best against the top teams last season, and it is when we are in possession that Giggs, Scholes and Carrick do their stuff. They are not renowned for hassling or being overly effective without the ball, and none of them have pace.

We do have Kagawa, which we shouldn't forget is a great signing, and I am sure there will be one or two more to come.

I just hope that one of them is not Leighton Baines. Collosal waste of £££ that would be.

Too bad we couldn't get Alba, but then we were never in with a sniff once Barcelona got involved.

They played extremely well together at the start of last season. They've got the energy and skills to be our midfield pairing. We played our most productive and best football last year with these two in the middle of our midfield. It was the reintroduction of Carrick and his zimmer frame (no doubting his skill and passing ability, but zero pace) that skewed it. That's not to blame Carrick, as I've said many a time he's a good, no great player, but he's just not quick enough.

Fergie obviously wanted us to play a pressing game last season, but with the loss through injury of Cleverley then Anderson later on, we had to alter that idea and revert back to the tried and tested. However maybe and hopefully it was a one season blip, the tried and tested wasn't the success it has been in the past. To many slower players in the middle.

Scholes started up front. If he moves any further back he'll be in goal by the time he's 40

Next season Smalling and Jones need to step up. Evans needs another good season like last. Cleverley is really still on 'stage 1' with me at the club insofar as expectation is concerned. Young did okay last year but needs to improve now he's got his first season out the road.

Why not play Messi instead of Modric? As neither will be playing for us!

Personally, I would drop Rio for Evans, as Evans deserves to be a starter now.

Well there's a different expectation of someone in their first season and someone who has been here a while. Smalling and Jones should now have that little bit more expectation put on their performance as they're not as 'getting used to' the level as they were. Cleverley who hasn't played much for us at all, isn't.

Same as signings. Young did okay last year but in his second season I'd expect to see him step up and get better.

With Evans he has to build on what was his best season so far last year.

Wow a link!

Right then, that MUST mean we will sign him!

We will not sign Modric, so you might as well put in Messi, as both have as much chance of playing for us next season, i.e. zero.

Thanks for the update, part of me wants him to win gold, just to see his happy smiley face, (as I do love his happy face! ), while the other half of me wants him to go out early, so that he gets some rest ahead of the season starting.

Hopefully Fergie has.

I agree, I hope that Sir Fergie, has heard of him, and then says "nooo way!".

*pins up usual Twitter don't blame me I'm just sharing notice*

I've seen on Twitter that QPR have offered £5m for Park which lead me to googling it and this also came up.

Park Ji Sung maybe joining West Ham on a season long loan but Man Utd want a permanent deal (via @TheTransferLad) #WHUFC #MUFC

Discuss.

If we can get £5 million for Park, then I say, "sell, sell, sell!!", if it is to be a season long loan, then try to get a must purchase at the end of the loan.

He has been a good servent to the club, but now might be the best time to do a deal for him I feel.
