Resident Evil 6 Demo

So owners of Dragon's Dogma can now download the Resident Evil 6 demo, was wondering if anyone here has done so and if you have could you share some opinions on it. Love what I've sen so far of this. Will try and grab this off the net myself and transfer it with a USB stick.

The Demo comes with 3 separate parts to play. You can choose Leon,Chris or Jake. I only played the Leon Demo this morning because i had to pick my kids up from school.

First of all the atmosphere is fantastic. Dark and tense with the background music adding to the suspense. The visuals are also very impressive i thought , with light from the thunder storm outside flashing in though the windows. One thing i noticed from the get go is that Leon can now walk and aim at the same time which is brilliant. I'm not a fan of the run-stop-shoot of old Resident evils ,and much prefer to take corners with the barrel of my gun raised a la Dead Space.

As for poo-in-your pants moments, the demo only last 15 minutes but they're were quite a few. 2:40 in this clip for example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6So_mDpnu90 made me jump out of my skin

Most importantly though,Zombies are back. After my short play this has become one of my must have games for 2012. I love it.

Nice one. I've played it now and yeah it's good, the graphics are fantastic, in a different league to other Resi Games and atmosphere this like above. There is some tearing, it's a bit annoying and I hope it's sorted for the full release.

Quite a generous demo too as you can play online, 3 different campaigns and 6 selectable characters each with different weapon load out and moves. The controls are a bit complicated and the aiming felt different to the other games but I guess it's just a case of getting used to it. Going to preorder now.

I haven't played the demos but there are video walkthroughs online. It looks great. It really reminds me of resident evil 2 for some reason.

I can't wait for it to come out.

You just download it from the internet like here and then transfer it to your USB stick provided it's been configured in your 360 for use. You can place it manually so long as you know the file structure or use an app such as Horizon to just do it for you (drag and drop). Very quick and painless and has it's advantages as we are also able to play other demo's such as the new Hitman Absolution, Dead or Alive 5 and Anarchy Reigns among others. It's worth doing and is completely legit.

note: The sites I have linked to host no pirate material so I'm not breaking any TOS.

Modding your gamerscore is against microsofts T&C'S though so be careful.

Yeah I don't recommend doing that, you'll probably get banned quite fast, plus it's a pretty sad thing to do in the first place.

What's with the regenerating health? The scourge of modern gaming.

The last element of what makes a survival horror has being removed, its nothing more than a TPS.

Press 'A' to Skip...

Well, after playing the Chris demo I'm bitterly disappointed. Climb ladder, jump down, climb ladder, jump down, climb ladder..........

And zombies with guns......F**k off.

Well to be fair Resident Evil has always focused on action over horror, it's certainly has been that way since Resi 4. I see this as a natural evolution. It's never been a Silent hill type horror experience and I grew very tired of the cheap "jumpy" moments from the first couple of games.

Allegedly Capcom are aware of the screen tearing problems that plagued the demo, it's supposedly a bug. The latest footage from Comic-Con 2012 shows the box 360 version running with virtually no tearing. It's looking very nice too:

Chris Demo
Jake Demo
