I do actually think he'll be nicer without Conor, and there's a glimmer of a decent person in there, but I don't like things being put down to people's ages on BB. Becky's only 19 and he doesn't make allowances for her because of that, his behaviour, his responsibility imo

What is it about his personality that you find so likeable?

He's quite honest, he apologises to people the next day like Scott and Deana. He admits he has insecurities. He can be quite funny and quite interesting when he's away from Conor. I think deep down alot of people like him but a certain someone else gets in the way.

The only person who 'gets in his way' is himself. He has been nothing but vile to several of the HMs and that is down to his own fault. You're entitled to like him. However, age is no excuse for his cowardice and blatant misogyny. He's 23. A supposed adult.

Morons like Arron and Conor make the decent men shine even more.

Last night during the interviews you could see him going from a position of 'one of the lads, couldn't care less' to 'apologetic, I am probably an idiot'. This is consistent with him having no idea whatsoever that he was behaving in a way that society found unacceptable because he was protected by Conor. Once society had judged and he became aware of it then his bravado melted away with his adrenalin as he realised that Conor could no longer protect him.

All of this means that he must typically locate the power and hide behind it, ingratiating himself and then hanging on to their coat tails. He is not an alpha male and very much a hanger on and afraid of being judged on his own merits. He is a submissive who, when on his own, will always back down.

He would not have to apologise to people if he didn't treat people so horribly.

I agree, OP..

He just could not understand why a girl would not want him and therefore, he disliked Sara. He started his insults on Sara from the beginning..claiming she doesn't have a personality and she's not very smart, etc.. because she did fall at his feet...

Arron has a really distorted view on his looks.. He's flat out not that attractive... From different angles - he can look good.. but his nose looks like Michael Jackson's nose... and from some angles - he looks hideous because of it.. Like a mix between Pinnochio and MJ.....

He seems to think that bullying girls and acting like an 8 year old -- is "entertaining"... He's a ridiculous man-child.

Yup... They're both blatant misogynist, sexist pigs who think harassing women makes them macho... Being a female - I find it very startling that most of his fans are FEMALES... How can a female like someone like Arron? What if it was their sister, mother, friend - that he was bullying and treating like garbage? I don't get it...

I agree with this.

I don't think he ever decided which Arron to be in the house - Deana said that he was quite nice when he was on his own but much worse with Conor.

We saw him being nice on opening night so we know he is capable of charm, and then trying to be a prankster because he thought it would keep him in the house. We saw him argue with Victoria, which gained him some fans on this board because people thought he was going to be a pretty boy with no substance, but it seemed he could be firey and confrontational.

But I don't think we saw the real Arron - I have a feeling that he is not yet comfortable in his own skin, but I don't think he is as bad as he would have us believe - I think he was trying to win the game and failed miserably. He is a little like Anton last year - a rebel without a clue with some half-cocked idea of a game plan and a fake persona, but without the real brains and foresight to plan it and follow it through.

He might make a brief apology but later that same day - he was back on Deana's ass again... especially when he's around Conor. So if someone did that to you -- treated you like garbage day in and day out for weeks... and apologized - you'd be cool with it? Especially if in the matter of hours - they were back to being a jerk to you? A roller-coaster day after day..going from insults to quick apologies... and back to insults..... and all should be forgiven because he sprinkled some apologies here and there? Puh-lease...

Conor might have brought out the worst in Arron, but Arron is still an adult and he's responsible for his own actions...

He's an absolute jerk without many redeeming qualities..

He's just as bad as violent thug Conor.

^^^^THIS
And if is true that he has older sisters, then there is the possibility that they spoiled him as a child.
