EPG Corrupting every couple of days

Over the last couple of months my Sky+HD 1TB box has started corrupting its EPG every couple of days. A reboot fixes it temporarily but the problem always comes back. *I've also tried a planner rebuild and a full system reset

The first sign is "Programme synopsis unavailable" for every programme on the TV guide. Some of the recordings on the planner show "Searching..." instead of the programme name. If you surf through the channels on Now & Next you get blank data and "Started 2 billion minutes ago". Eventually the whole thing will just freeze and nothing can be done except to reboot.
*
My hd box has been replaced 4 times and the octo lnb has been replaced too, still same problem

Any ideas how to fix this permanently?
*
Thanks, Michael

If you have had the boxes replaced and the lnb then it is unlikely that the prolem lies with hardware but is down to not receiving a "clean signal" for the default transponder that carries the 7 day EPG. This could be either interference to the signal at microwave frequencies (11.778 GHz in this case) or at RF frequencies (1178 MHz in this case) entering the cabling or receiver. The source for microwaves could be local radar installations, microwave relay stations, street lighting or even car radar speed detectors amongst other things - eliminating these would be a matter of shielding the dish from the source by moving so dish is shielded by building it is mounted on. RF interference could again have many sources sources iincluding DECT and other WiFi devices and badly suppressed electrical equipment or even a poor quality connection/joint (at wallplate?) causing signal reflection in the cabling.

How is the box connected to the dish - via wallplate or direct cabie? If direct try shortening the cable by an inch. If via wallplate is there a cheap flimsy fly lead connecting it to the box if so replace with lengths of quality satellite cable.

I too have the same problem and it's driving me nuts. Sky thought they had sorted it at their end by doing something with the cards, which cleared it for 10 days then it started again 4 days ago. I have to reboot every other day too.

Strangely, our multiroom HD box is not affected. Only difference is that the 1TB box is wired for Aytime+ via wireless box and I'm wondering if this may have something to do with it (although the wireless box has been there for many months before the problems started...)

Ours appears to have gone back to 'normal' now. Having checked our two box details, Sky had something wrong in their records and updated them. Whether that has fixed it, or simply a coincidence, I don't know.

Hopefully the problems are behind us now...

I get that for everything that isn't just 'now and next'

Really annoying.

You will on single input if you switch the box off rather than to standby - see my reply to your post in Sky HD sub forum.

News: decided to swap my 1TB box with the +HD box we use in another room.

After a couple of days exactly the same symptoms have appeared on the +HD box, whereas the 1TB box in the multiroom location is (so far) okay.

Now concluding that the problem either lies with the LNB or Anytime+. I've disconnected the later to see what happens now; the 1TB box is not connected for Anytime+ in the multiroom location.
