The Cleveland Show

I came late to the party but I love Family Guy and American Dad, both different too each other in style and comedy but I saw one episode of TCS and just couldn't get into it. Am I alone in thinking it was an unimaginitive spin off and very lazy of the writers and network? Was there talk of any of the others getting a spin off or maybe an original cartoon in the way that AD was compared to FG?

I read online that The Flintstones remake has been put on hold which is a shame as I think Seth could have made a go of it.

I actually really love it! I prefer it to Family Guy, I think FG relies too much on flashbacks/imagination scenes.

Maybe I should try from episode one rather than dipping in.

There are no further plans for Seth MacFarlane to produce any more TV shows. The Flinstones was delayed to MacFarlane having too much on his plate.

Also, I do rather enjoy the Cleveland Show, but it still isn't as good as AD and FG

The Cleveland Show is very hit-and-miss. Some episodes are laugh out loud hilarious, and some can be excruciatingly awful. I didn't like how different they made Cleveland jnr to how he was in Family Guy and I thought

I think Seth should have stopped FG or put it on hiatus to do Flintstones.

Did Fox come to Seth and say come up with a spin off or did he pitch it. I wonder of they went through various spin off shows ideas or was it always going to be TCS? I wound have liked a cop show with Joe :-)

Reminds me of the rumoured live action Krusty spin off with Dan C as Krusty. Wrong. Sooo wrong.

Fox would never put one of their most popular show on hiatus, too risky. And they don't have enough unbroadcasted episodes to produce even a half season (they only have 9 compared to the standard half season of 12)

I believe MacFarlane pitched it to them, cos he used to work for Hanna Barbera and claims Fred Flinstone is the first character he drew. TCS was Richard Appel & Mike Henry's idea, designed to bridge the gap between FG and The Simpsons

I thought this would be a good show since it was from the creators of Family Guy. Not worth watching.
