Lovely movie. Had just the right mixture of poignant and funny moments. Highly recommend it.

I saw it last Saturday night and it wasn't at all what I'd expected. It had some funny moments but overall I'd describe it as a really moving film - it made you think about what's important in life.
8/10

I wanted to watch it this Friday, after Batman, but because Batman is on then this film has been relegated to one screening at ten past eight. I am a little peeved but I can't have everything I guess

The trailer implys that it's a comedy, when it isn't. As most have said it is a very moving film that derserves better press than some reviews have given it. I really enjoyed it.

How was Keira's jaw? Was it a decent performance?

I'm not a huge fan of Keira Knightly but she was fine in this film and by the end of the film I got to like her as her performance was quite heart-rending,
Spoiler

There aren't many films I think about once I've left the cinema but this was one of them. You really have to sit through it to appreciate the ending.

Saw this yesterday, really enjoyed it, the trailer doesn't do it justice, 4/5.

It does look good, but I don't like Keira Knightley (as an actress; I'm sure she's a lovely person ) Still, I would like to see it at some point.

I'm surprised at the good reviews on here, I'd read some mediocre ones online and in the press. Seeing that it's more of a moving story than a comedy, I'm more inclined to give it a go. I really like both Keira Knightley and Steve Carrell so hopefully I'll get to see this one soon

Brilliant film. I can honestly say this is one of the best films i've seen this year. Superb little indie gem of a movie.

Steve Carrell absolutely OWNS this film! One of the best roles i've ever seen him in, great performance from him. Keira Knightly who i can only take in small doses goes toe to toe and is equally excellent, a good role for her and one of her best films too. The chemistry is definetely there between the two and it works! Martin Sheen, Adam Brody, Connie Britton and William Petersen also do very well in supporting roles.

I don't know what it was about this film but it just got to me. Beautiful, touching, moving, heartfelt, melancholy, very funny in places and one of the most genuine films i've ever seen. Not many films make me think a lot after i had left the cinema but this one did. Superb!

Great soundtrack as well, you'll know what i mean if you've seen the film.

I saw the trailer a few weeks back and thought it looked pretty good. I'm not usually a massive fan of Keira Knightley but I'll probably sit through this when it's out on DVD.

A very good film, reminded me a lot of 'Last Night' which was very similar.

Loved the bit with William Petersen.

just saw this , Carrell and Knightly are very mis-cast , they just don't fit the movie , nor do they have any chemistry .

Carrell is really in need of another good role , for me he's becoming a one-hit wonder , 40 Year Old Virgin was great but nothing since .

Yes I know what you mean about their chemistry.

I allowed for it though as to be honest I believe most people would latch onto the first person they could for some sense of meaning.

I kept thinking Knightly was Natalie Portman.

Just watched this and it was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, completely brilliant and poignant and makes you really think about things and how much time we spend on the things that do not matter, the 2 leads were great and it left a real impression on me

Brick Tamland in Anchorman.

That's beside the point though because I totally disagree. I thought this was an excellent film and that was in large part to the team of Carrell and Knightly. Never would have pictured them together, but it works.

I don't really know how this has flown so low under the radar. The subtlety and depth to it is outstanding. One of my favourite films this year.

I caught it a couple of weeks ago actually and really enjoyed. Carell was perfect for the type of film it was - he's "normal" enough to make it believable I think.
