Tonight's episode is 'Grumpy Old Man', be warned, its a Carter-heavy episode.

Thelma was mentioned, didn't know she was in a RH since she hasn't appeared since season 4/5 I think (since the episode where Peter found his real father)

The 'phone sax' gag made me chuckle, but it wasn't the greatest episode. Watchable, is the most I'd give it.

I have this recorded. REALLY looking forward to it now after the above comments
![]() I sometimes think Seth should get a panel of members from DS on to view his shows to gauge audience reception. Poor man wouldn't stand a chance

Hmmm wasn't great. Carter isn't the best character to carry an episode. Infact he's probably one of my least favourite characters. The ep was mostly boring with a few ok gags.

I just caught up with the last two episodes after being away abroad, and didn't think too much of them. Very weak, and hardly any laughs.

Positives of last night: The questions being asked by the seniors and Peter in the cinema and the phone sax, especially Lois's questionable playing. Other than that, it was a very boring and painfully unfunny episode. The ending was rushed, and again using gibberish with Carter moaning and no expalination of anything happening. More underuse of Stewie and Brian = are they deliberately being made obselete?
I thought the 2008-9 season was dire with episodes like "Family Gay", "Peter's Progress", "Juice On The Loose" and "Three Kings".....this season is even WORSE! |

Seth MacFarlane started worked on Ted sometime last year, perhaps that's why some characters have been used less. Also, Seth Green has a lot of other projects perhaps he's got busy as well.

If family gay is the one where peter has the horse and then does the medical study turning him gay, thats the best family guy ever! Ive seen that one so many times and still laugh when peter raises his hand and shrieks guilty!

Not as good as last weeks might give it another watch though. Joe reenacting the Fiona Apple video was the funniest bit.

The Teen Choice segment was very funny, as was the scene when Quagmire lifted Megs hat up and a hand pulled it down, the rest was lame.
Pterdactyl was not funny. Neither was the end. |
