Peter Barlow Is Just Vile
So he tries to do the best for his son and promises to sort himself out and then punches someone at his own kid's party in front of younger children.
He was also going to hand himself into the Police whenever they all thought Carla was responsible for Frank's death. (Again going to put himself into prison whenever he has got a son.) Having an affair. Nearly killing his son twice To name but a few...... And i believe he starts drinking again! UNBELIEVABLE |

Don't forget when he has his pity parties. And blames Ken for his bad life, Nick for his drinking and Leanne for Simon being traumatized by him. Oh and Carla for making his life more differcult than it should be lately. He is such a prince among men.

The Corrie Fonz: Leather jacket, tattoos, attitude but nowhere near as popular - oh - and a propensity to punch first, self pity later.
He's a pop-eyed, big snouted beast. No wonder Simon is demonic. |

Peter Barlow has never, IMO, been a likeable character. |

He doesn't have any redeeming qualities left anymore. He's not nice, funny or interesting. He is nothing but a midgety drunk who needs to grow up. If he was a funny drunk that would be something, but he's just a mean and whiny one.

Now, he's just someone worthy of derision only. He's not even villainous in the soap sense, he's simply a nasty person who's a burden to everyone that tries to care for him. Really well acted, though, in fairness. |

I find his acting average, sometimes he really does do well, but maybe because we see the character tarnished, it's probably affected the way we see his acting too!
I think Peter's time as a character has reached an end now, and Carla needs to go as well, every time she tries to talk sexy with that husky man voice I have to put her on mute! |

I am fed up with the writers that have done with Peter. Its a circle with Peter, be drunk, aggressive, having a go at others, blaiming others, whining. They are seriously running out of ideas for him and just keep recycling everything. I hope that when he come back this year they take him in some sort of new direction, if they are just going to keep repeating everything over again, don't bother bringing him back.
Although he is a nice guy at times. Like last year when he gave John Stape a job and was concerned for him, and kept it open when he had his breakdown. Although I can't stand Leanne either. Even though she has a right to be angry at him, she seems to get kicks out of being smug despite the fact Peter gave Simon to her, she still isn't satisfied. Can these characters not just get along ffs. All round, the storyline is really boring now. In my opinion of course. Its just getting repetitive and annoying. |

I always thought that most folks on this board found Peter Barlow attractive, and that there must be something wrong with me, 'cos I think he's revolting.!
Anyone noticed that recently, his head seems to have sunk into his shoulders. Its as if his neck has taken a hike! Nick Tilsley looks positively dishy in comparison and that IS saying something. |

I had taped an episode of Corrie in 2002 when Maria came back, refreshed from Canada having just left Nick. I watched it on Friday as it was Samia's birthday. Anyway, back to Peter, and even in 2002 he was wearing his trademark black jacket and white T-shirt. Peter asked Simon to check that his breath did not smell of booze, which admittedly it didn't. Simon was oblivious to the fact that Peter couldn't have had a change of clothing that night/morning. Indeed, after 10 years that T-shirt must be positively mingin' by now!

Nothing against the actor but cant stsnd the character...selfish, hyporcrite, full of self pity, rubbish father only cares about himself. Spoiling the soap for me at the moment
