Bt Desktop Help Keeps Starting Up!
HI BT desktop help keeps starting up when the pc boots up, i have checked in msconfig and in the start up options it is disabled.. and i have also checked in tune up utilities [start up programmes] not listed in there either.. so how can i stop it from starting up?? help please... I have VISTA OS thanks..

You might find an additional entry under the Services tab of msconfig. Tick the option to hide MS services and it will be easier to spot. IIRC, it has a random looking name, starting with 'M'.
Unless you specifically need the BT software, it's best to not install any of it. |

no none the wiser with that trick, no BT entry is listed.

Someone else had the same problem and a possible solution is here

Using the CD to get connected is *not* necessary http://community.bt.com/t5/Other-BB-...CD/td-p/549781 Which states: "you do not need to use the BT cd and in fact the forum recommendation is not to instal the BT cd but use it for a coaster/bird scarer/frisbee or something similar" |
