trouble connecting PS3 to superhub

Just got our broadband upgraded and got a new superhub however I cant get the ps3 ( OR WII) to connect. I rang sony and they said its because of the security on the hub and I should ring virgin to get them to lower the security from WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK to a different one. Also that I should check I am using the correct passphrase ( it must be right cos It worked when connecting the netbook ). Any help would be much appreciated !!!

Dont have a Superhub, but PS3 works fine with WPA/WPA2, so that advice was cock.

Does the ps3 see the network at all and not able to connect or does it not seem to pick up the network at all when you arch for available networks?

The reason I ask is that if the SuperHub is set to broadcast in 5 Ghz mode as opposed to 2.4 Ghz then the ps3 will not see the network to connect to.

I think when I did mine originally I connected it via network cable and then wirelessly.
Either way I have the superhub and it works fine.

Yeah when I scan for networks it recognises it at full signall strength however it just times out when I test connection

you need to type 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.0.1 into the address bar of your browser, then once your into the supperhub page change to 2.4GHz from the settings or change the security settings..
