He's a good actor. Despite everything he does, he still remains sympathetic.

Emphasis on the pathetic, though I do agree with you.

Peter really excelled himself tonight. I didn't think he could anymore pathetic and nasty. But he managed it.

My tea was the tastiest I've had for ages, but it's not as tasty as Kirsty.

Nom, nom and indeed nom.

He can go a lot more nasty than he did tonight, so nasty a little bit lasts all year and I can't stand the character at any time

Needs to take both his kids and slap them up and down the street like they used to do in the old days.
Complete and utter Shower, the pair of them.

I think the things he said to Carla were so cruel. That was a whole new low and I don't even particularly like the girl and think most of this she brought on herself.

Well I used to like Carla and Peter, but I'm starting to think Both Carla and Leanne would be better off without him as the only thing Peter seems to truly love and can stay faithful to is a bottle of plonk!

Yeah good going Ken, just leave your bladdered son to wander the streets aimlessly while he can hardly move.

We're supposed to believe that Carla's still the one he wants and that whole grand declaration to Leanne was all in a bid to get Simon back, but that scene was the most genuine he's came across in a long time (albeit he did also in the final scene, where did bemoan that 'even Carla's had enough of him').

Part of me wonders how far in advance Carla and Peter's breaks were known; it's strange to bring in Carla's brother just before she jets off, and after watching tonight's episode especially it does seem that a Carla/Peter break-up and a gradual reunion with Leanne was the natural progression of the storyline.

All-in all, one of my favourite episodes, and the progression in that whole saga was much-needed. I actually underestimated the writers tonight. Firstly I thought the rape would be brushed under the carpet where Rob's concerned, and then at the end I really expected a groundhog day scenario with Peter blaming all his problems on Ken; the omission of the latter I am extremely grateful for.

The bullying storyline is just descending into farce, along with everything else Packham is brought into in his 'professional' capacity. The bullying story could have been interesting, but now it's just all panto, with the bully's mother likely to be some caricature middle-class witch.

I'm finding Corrie extremely inconsistent of late.

Yes, I think so too. I think it's because he achieves such an amazingly accurate portrayal of alcoholism as a disease and the fact that most of can remember when he was a lot more likeable.
Plus it's hard not to feel sorry for someone who is ripping his relationship with his son to shreds, knows he's doing it, but can't do anything to stop it.
