Amelia's release announced including an album!

Mischa B's singles video is out and album few months later.

Still no announcement about Janet Devlin!?
Is she signed? I would expected her to be. She is an outside bet to do well, maybe even sign her up for an EP like Rachel Crow Ryan BGT.
I knew this would happened, everyone said she had loads to choose in terms of record company offers and i haven't heard anything.
She'll probably do what Ruth Lorenzo and Laura White did, which is wait years on end trying to write the perfect song and release it years later when no one cares anymore Rachel Hylton keeps going on about she's writing, but nothing has surfaced in years, same with Austin Drage. I mean both Lloyd Daniels and Rachel Adedeji took TWO years to come with a four track EP!?
Why don't these contestants realise you need to strike while the iron is hot!?

From what I've heard Janet is in the recording studio recording songs at the moment, she hasn't said who she's signed for yet so she might be waiting to complete her album and then sign for a record company.

Janet's album should be out later this year (yay). She is taking her time as she wants it to be of a high standard and doesn't want to sell people short.
It seems the initial record deal offers were based on Janet being a cutesy pop artist singing pre-written tracks, so it was difficult for her to reach any agreement and talks broke down.
However, Janet has recently said on Blog TV that she has received some "life changing" news regarding her career and "things are going amazingly well".
She was in the recording studio at the end of May to put down at least three tracks, and will return soon to continue writing and recording.
Janet has sung some of her originals on Blog TV, including "Crown of Thorns" which has become an immediate fans' favourite, and is pretty awesome

Janet said she had a "Life changing meeting today" on BlogTV last night she seemed very excited she can't talk about the news yet.

She mentioned today on twitter that the meeting was postponed but she did a bit of a Q&A with fans on tumblr last night also. Some points of note were that there are plans for a UK tour and she'll be in the studio in the next few weeks doing more work on a debut EP or Album. She'll be working with Eliot Kennedy (Grammy Award winner, Ivor Novello Award winner, Golden Globe nominee and producer of Gary Barlow's "Sing" etc etc) on the project.

She's performing at the East of England show on Saturday. Marcus Collins is also performing I believe. Her setlist will consist of 7 songs, which have yet to be confirmed but fans are presuming her original song "Crown of Thorns" which she has performed at recent gigs will be performed.

Bit of an update!

Janet will be returning to the studio in 2 weeks where she will be back working on her debut release which will be a single followed by an EP or an album. This should be released in September.
She will then embark on a UK tour in October/November.

She also revealed recently that Liam Mckenna is her tour manager. He's also Jedward's tour manager and obviously they're Louis Walsh's little baby's so take that for what it's worth. Possibly with him but maybe not. Not confirmed.

Little update for any Janet fans.
This week she's been in Bath writing with a new songwriter. She's written a couple of new songs, including one titled 'When We Were Young'.
These are in addition to the many she's written herself during her breaks between stuio sessions and the 3 she wrote with Eliot Kennedy in Sheffield ('Crown of Thorns', 'Thinking Back Yesterday' and 'Who Am I Today?').
She'll be returning to Sheffield to continue work with Eliot and his team next week.

New update.

Janet is set to announce her UK tour imminently. A couple of dates have been leaked already as Nov. 19th Birmingham's 02 Academy and Nov. 20th Sheffield's 02 Academy. Further dates and venues are expected soon.

She's also set to announce her debut releases soon too and has just announced on Twitter today, that she'll be writing with Newton Faulkner at the end of August.
