Don't worry. I think he is just trying to lull Ben into a false sense of security before he throws a net over him and drags him off to the funny-farm.

What he did; My reaction

Murder; Ok its a soap
No regrets; Ok he is mentally disturbed.
Manipulating Jay, Ok that's quite clever.
Leaving a murder weapon unattended in the living room; WHAT THE F@CK IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!

The most tedious things about this story line are the lazy plot devices used to keep the story line rolling.

TBH collecting trophies is rather common amongst murderes. There are many, many reported cases of the killer taking their victim's stuff. In Ben's case, it just so happened that it was the murder weapon.

I more have a problem with how casual he was in fiddling about with the frame in the living room before leaving it there unattended. Why not just take it upstairs?

That part I agree with. If you're going to conceal a murder weapon which could potentially put you away for life, at least do a proper job of it!

Because he's at the forefront of the best storyline going on at the moment. It's not about liking him as a person, some people including me just find him an entertaining character

Despite not liking him myself, I can understand that. It's how I felt about most EE villains.

I am very much an "on topic" sort of person these days, P.
But this hatred for Ben is more like it. Disturbed or what?
I want to see if Phil kills him or Jay or both.

I think that Phil will put Ben out of his deranged misery in as quiet and gentile a way as he can.

After all, whatever has happened, and whatever Phil's weaknesses, he does love the lad.

Suffocation with a pillow, perhaps?

A padded toffee hammer?

So you all hate a fictitious character? One designed to be all those things that you are talking about like they are real?

Backs away from thread very slowly.........
