Terminating BT contract early

Have Infinity 2 with unlimited evening and weekend calls.

Am looking into cancelling during minimum term and am slightly confused by BT's own terms and conditions.

BT Infinity Full Terms & Conditions
Option 1 Option 2 Option 3
£11.50 £13.00 £15.25
BT Total Broadband Anywhere Full Terms & Conditions
Base (50) 150 250 600
£17.25 £25.25 £27.00 £30.25

Package type Broadband and calls option Early Termination charge per month
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 1 and Unlimited Weekend Plan £8.25
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 1 and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan £7.50
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 1 and Unlimited Anytime Plan £11.25
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 2 and Unlimited Weekend Plan £12.25
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 2 and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan £7.25
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 2 and Unlimited Anytime Plan £16.00
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 3 and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan £8.25
Broadband and calls Broadband Option 3 and Unlimited Anytime Plan £16.00
Broadband and calls Infinty 1 and Unlimited Weekend Plan £12.25
Broadband and calls Infinity 1 and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan £7.25
Broadband and calls Infinity 1 and Unlimited Anytime Plan £16.00
Broadband and calls Infinity 2 and Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan £8.25
Broadband and calls Infinity 2 and Unlimited Anytime Plan £16.00

My question is, which one is it?

Is it the £13/month cancellation or the £8.25/month?

I done something similair yesterday (sent emails to top people in BT as I wasn't really happy in the contract to be honest) they let me go free of charge. If you got problems look at this page? email a few people (worked for me)

Well it looks like you are paying £13pm for infinity option2 + your line rental and it looks like the early termination charge, the heading for the bottom list is £8.25pm for remaining months left in contract.

I know it was changed by Ofcom some time ago, before they could charge you the full whack for every month left.

I'm not with BT and I could be wrong, give them a ring.

I am paying £26/month for infinity 2 (line rental paid in advance).

I am assuming that it is £8.25 per month remaining!

That may be everything to do with it, the line rental paid in advance. There is some sort of sliding scale as far as I can remember depending on how long left in contract which was introduced by Ofcom.

Edit : I read that wrong, I was thinking that you had paid a year up front for the line rental and thereby got a reduction ?
