The Walking Dead

I quite enjoyed the demo, but it wasn't very long.

Is the game worth the £15.99 they are asking? I hated the Back to the Future game, but this WD seemed pretty good.

Was going to just buy individual episodes incase I got bored of it but it means paying £4 more overall.

Depends if you like adventure games. It's kind of like a modern day point-and-click game.

I thoroughly enjoy the game, as it has a great story and an adult feel.

I would absolutely NOT recommend you shell out £15, despite the saving, as you will be waiting an age for the remaining episodes, but if you are buying them individually as and when released I would say it's worth it.

Why wouldn't you shell out that now? The way I see it, if I buy the two available episodes it'll cost me £8. I might as well just pay £15 to get all the episodes.

If you enjoy it so much, why wouldn't you?

Honestly, I think it's worth the £15. Yes, you may be waiting a while for the next episode, but so far, the story has been gripping and well worth my time. Only my opinion of course.

The opening I felt was a little weak - unless the demo doesn't start right at the start of the game? It began outside the house/treehouse.

The opening is just a taster, it does get a lot better once you meet all the other characters and the pace picks up.

Shell out the £15 only if you are not going to be annoyed at the inevitable "delays" that are going to happen with each episode.

Yes, essentially it's worth it, but after telling everyone they were going to release "monthly" episodes (I notice that the store has now been changed to "periodically") I was annoyed at them moving the goalposts after I had shelled out.

Like I say, if that's not the sort of thing that annoys you then the £15 is well worth it.

It'd annoy me yes, but the way I see it, I'm going to buy them all when they are released anyway so I might as well.

I just remember BTTF started off well, and then got really dull halfway through and I gave up.

Does each episode end on a cliffhanger?

Will this get a Blu-Ray release in the future?

I can't really say about that as this is my first Telltale game.

I'm pretty sure they are going to have a retail release once they have released all 5 eps, I have read that on IGN I think.

I doubt it'll get a Blu-Ray release. Multiple DVDs maybe but I'd say the majority of gamers still only have DVD drives.

Of course it will be a Blu Ray release if it is on PS3.

Ok, I just checked and it's only the US retail version that they have confirmed, but it looks likely.....

According to a statement from Telltale senior vice president of marketing Steve Allison, "Following the digital release of our fifth episode we will also be coming to North American retail shortly thereafter and this will not be the last The Walking Dead game series that we do."

I'm torn in what to do really. I can either buy the season pass, or wait for a retail copy of it.

I'm a Plus member too so no doubt this will be free soon...?

Not for a while I would have thought.

Anyway Plus "ownership" is nothing more than rental really, so if it was me I would prefer to own a copy.

I might just bite the bullet and get it. I love Zombie games, and this seems a little more relaxed than say Dead Island.

Oh sure it is. It's more of a story driven game than action.

I went and bought the season pass. I love zombie games so this will make a nice change.

Just got to the farm on Episode 1. Liking it so far.

Do we see any of the characters from the TV series?

I recently started playing the walking dead episode 1 and thought I would do a quick review. It was such an enjoyable game, I do like what telltale games do though... except the Jurassic Park one, that sucked!
