Next years launch night twist.
Im bored of the launch night twists being unimaginative and boring so heres one which would really shock. The housemates will play the game as doubles. The rules:
1. Housemates will be told to pair up in two's 5 mins after meeting on launch night which they will stay in until further notice. 2. Housemates will individually nominate one pair (not their own) for eviction each week. The one or more pair with the most nominations will face the public vote. They can only discuss nominations when alone with their partner. 3. However the twist is when a housemates partner is evicted they become immune from being nominated but can still nominate the remaining pairs (So they will be immune for half of the series no matter how annoying!) . This continues until there is only one pair left and then all immunity is lost and the game continues as usual. What do you guys think? The group dynamics would be fascinating right? |

Sounds very good on paper, but knowing our luck the people who get immunity would end up being the worst housemates

But this one wouldnt be something stupid like evicting a potentially brilliant housemate after one day which damages the show. This would affect the whole series and for that reason would make BB14 unique to every other BB. Surely we need to start playing with the format slightly its getting repetitive. We need to see something new.

How about we see all the contestants go into the house. Once they are inside all the cameras are switched off and they only find out no one has been watching when they are randomly evicted

. It would be interesting to watch though because think how original friendships made on launch night change over the series. You could get one pair hating each other yet working together to be the last pair standing.

The only twist I would like is ditch the current launch night format, i.e. the entry parade, IMO it is rather pointless unless you are a huge fan of being in the crowd on the night. It's not like they are surprised to see each other, they don't even try to suggest they're offsite anymore by having them draw up in cars. The VTs are pointless as well, how many of them are like that once they get in the house? We'll soon find out when we see them in there what they are like.
Just have them loitering around in the studios, show us some basic data about them on screen and shove them in one by one by the DR door. ![]() Would do Brian out of a night's work and deprive them of posing for the crowds and press but so what, they are there for the experience, right?
