I just got it from CEX and its definitely a fun game, it looks great but I can't quite get used to the controls yet. I'm still on the King of Cling level and keep getting eaten by the piranha plant things
![]() Love the classic DKC tunes though

The tacked on motion controls were unnecessary - I find it unplayable

Yeah, once you've completed the main quest there is a 9th area within the Banana Temple which can only be unlocked by collecting the 8 orbs which are in the temples of each of the 8 areas which you first have to unlock the bridges to get accross to each of those temples.

If they make a sequel I want to be able to use Diddy alone in 1 player mode.

Well it's not going to blow you away from playing one level is it? The more you play the better it gets, it shares the genius level design of any Rare or Nintendo developed title, imo playing with the wiimote by itself was essential as I could not enjoy the nunchuk method with the annoying drumming motion plus it's way too clunky to use an analogue stick for movement on the later levels that require pixel perfect jumps and razor sharp timing.
I hope we see a sequel on the 3DS, Retro Sudios are working on something, we just don;t know what yet (I think it's a Star Fox game). |

I was playing with the Wiimote itself and getting more used to it, havent mastered roll jumping but shaking isnt too bad.
I miss the star barrel and using Diddy by himself, and DK's barrel roll attack
