I don't there's much differences between RTD era Confidential and Moffat's ones to be honest, though making them in 45-60 minutes ones seemed excessive at times.

Just found this little snippet. I won't put it in spoiler tags - due this being the spoiler thread:

Following his comments on season seven, Moffat went on to showcase a lengthier clip “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship” – that sees The Doctor recruit Nefertiti (while attempting to avoid her sexual advances), a new character portrayed by Sherlock‘s Detective Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves), Rory, Amy, and (accidentally) Rory’s father, Brian (played by Mark Williams). The Doctor leads his “gang” to a derelict space station overrun with cobwebs – complete with spiders (very curious indeed). The group searches the craft by flashlight until they come upon a massive metal door that, upon their arrival, slowly begins to open. As everyone turns to run for their lives, The Doctor leans toward the doorway for a better look. As a pair of Ankylosauruses burst into the room, Amy tugs at The Doctor whose face twists into his iconic smile as he says “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship!”

This episode is actually sounding like a lot of fun to be honest.

Yes.

Yes it does.

I feel sorry for you that it never happened where you work - clearly. But as it happens everywhere I've ever worked, perhaps it's not the workplaces you've worked in themselves...

Oh, you mean his mate, yeah strange that. However SM confirmed that as soon as the cameras roll they both get on with their job
I enjoyed confidential during the RTD era but Moff's is just terrible.
I know the brass neck of the man. It's like he wrote and directed the series or summink

From a standpoint it took something away from the show as it revealed far too much info behind the scenes losing some mystery.
Now you do have a good point their. Hmm lets sum it up, No fooling around, no show and tell on the creativity behind the show.
I dont mind if it returns in 2013 because then Karren wont be on it to ruin it.I refuse to feed this troll any further

If The Question must never, ever be answered. Couldn't The Silence have taken out whoever/whatever will ask it, instead..

I just wish they'd put the full versions on the Series 6 DVDs/BDs. I really liked the segment telling River Song's story from her PoV. A shame it's not on the discs.

I don't to be honest. Confidential works better as a 10 minute thing, though I do agree the River Song story should've been added to the Series 6 set.

I hope there is a really good reason why the doctor could never go and visit the Ponds after they leave. He knows where they live!. Also why can't they have a proper relationship with their daughter?. River could visit after being released form storm cage. Mums and daughters are suppose to have "girl time" do things like go shopping, eat lunch and gossip. Amy and Rory could and should have a full and happy life together. Why can't they have more children and granchildren?. Growing old together and dying peacefully of old age in their own bed.
Amy is called "the girl who waited" how is that a good name?. She wasted her childhood waiting for the doctor. She nearly died several times and nearly lost Rory for good before their wedding. Then there is River. She has been abused through her childhood attacked and fausely imprisoned for a "murder" she didn't commit. She has wasted years of her life too. Only to probably die young in the library and spend her afterlife trapped in CAL. Don't get a break do they?. Clara should check her life insurance policy and will!.Travelling with the doctor is dangerous and can be heartbreaking.

1) Because there has to be a point where the Doctor has to say 'enough is enough' and not visit a certain person from his past. Moffat mentioned this in an interview with DWM a while back
2) Amy and Rory do have a proper relationship with River. They might not have gotten the chance to raise her as a child but they do get to meet up with her from time to time and that's something at least.
3) Not really bothered if Amy/Rory can have more kids. If they do, brilliant for them, if not, it isn't the end of the world either.
4) You've made these points about Amy, Rory and River in several posts. It's tragic to an extent but these things happen. It can't be all happily ever after sadly for some.
5) I'm hoping Clara has a better time of it but no doubt she'll be put the ringer as well from time to time. It's a risk but it's not actually/entirely the Doctor's fault either though.

Providing they both come away unscathed. Only one new-who companion has done so thus far. Now for some news I'm always happy to see:

Doctor Who star Matt Smith has praised his new co-star Jenna-Louise Coleman.

The actor told SFX that Coleman's new companion character - widely believed to be named Clara - will be "very different" to her predecessor Amy Pond (Karen Gillan).

"I think Steven's writing her in a very interesting way - in a different way to Amy Pond," he said. "I can't really tell you too much about her and her story because it's all top-secret as always... but we're very excited and we're planning to make the show with her bigger and better than ever and just keep moving forward."

Smith continued: "Jenna's doing a wonderful job, she's a wonderful actress and very dedicated."

Thinking on it, that does sound like Dawn from Buffy but at the same time, I do get the impression that Clara is going to play some kind of role in Trenzalore/fall of the 11th, just not sure what exactly.

It would double the amount of disks if they did that.

Still I wonder what will be on extras this series.

1) Perhaps they don't know who will ask
2) Perhaps they do, and that's what they've been doing all along
3) Perhaps they're concerned that stopping one questioner will mean another will take their place

Indeed.

Let's assume that there are potentially billions and billions of people who could ask the question, anyone could ask a question, that's the whole population of the universe both now and in the future.

But there's only one person who could answer the question (The Doctor).

Do we kill every single entity in the universe ever, or just one?

Seeing as you are trying to save the universe, killing everyone in it would seem a rather pyrrhic victory.

Someone on GB that an airdate for Series 7 is to be confirmed next week.

Hope that's true.

Wouldn't be the first time they've achieved that!

It's still all very vague. Is the Doctor aware of what The Answer is? Do the Silence just assume that he has The Answer? I mean, the Doctor appeared to not know what The Question was until Dorium offered to fill him in.

And the prophecy itself doesn't mention the Doctor, only alludes to him. What if they're wrong?
