If I were thinking about spending £50/£60 or so on a meal then I wouldn't be thinking about F&B's but for £10 or so, it's fairly decent. Also there aren't that many of the chain restaurants where I live so of the choice I have, it's one of the best |

No, some people just appreciate quality. I don't think Frankie and Bennys is any different to Wetherspoons. Yeah it's "edible" but if I'm going out for a meal I don't want just "edible", I want quality. If it was a choice between eating out every week and going to chains or eating out every other week and going somewhere quality I'd take the latter. The only time I ever really eat at Wetherspoons and the like is if I'm out on an all day drinking session, watching footy etc and need somewhere for a quick meal.

I didn't say that. I was saying I'd class Frankie and Bennys in the same league as Wetherspoons. Ie. I wouldn't go there for a "proper" meal. However, Frankie and Bennys seems to be marketed as a place to go for a "proper" meal.

Fair enough. I've always had great meals at Frankie & Benny's, and it's definitely somewhere you'd go for a 'proper' meal, whatever the hell that means.

I could never get excited about a cheap chain restaurant or pub. For example tomorrow, we finish work for the summer and we'll be in the pub at 2:30 and going on a pub crawl staying out all night. We'll end up grabbing something to eat in Wetherspoons or a cheap chain pub simply because we need to eat and we want something that will be quick. I don't expect I'll particularly enjoy the food but it'll fill a hole, it'll be "edible". |

I love F&B's it's my guilty pleasure!
My husband likes good food when we go out, nice resturants that do good wines nd I drag him here everytime we go to cinema! I get to start, chicken wings in honey. Main full rack of ribs. Pudding about 500 pina coladas! Then I can't move! Not been this year I don't think!! I really want an F&B's now!!! |

Its alright. I had a club sandwich which was ok, but it's hard to balls that up. Also had the mussels which were again ok, but found too many tiny pieces off shell in them which wasn't nice to discover mid chew.

A pair of earplugs to block out the 'Celebrations' song, which is played approximately every 1.5 seconds.

That is one of the rubbish chain restaurants our council wants here in our so called new shopping centre, if it ever gets built.
what is it that we need these large chain restaurant? Put the rates and rents down and we will have nice small local cafes where people may know how to cook. |
