Athletics, gymnastics and tennis mostly. In fact, I can't wait for the whole thing to start. I'll be watching as much of it as possible.

What do you think are the must watch events? Seeing as we can watch every and this is the first time I have been interested in watching the olympics what sports are good to watch and not boring?

I was thinking the team sports would be best but I don't know. I want defo want to watch the Football, Tennis, 100m and BMX but everything looks good and I obviously can't watch every event so just wanted to some advice.

Athletics, and maybe a bit of the swimming too. Both sports worth watching IMO.

Maybe a bit of the other sports where Britons are expected to do well- cycling, rowing, diving, maybe....

Wont watch sports I don't understand - sailing- or those in which I have no interest -shooting, archery, or those I don't really consider 'sport' - boxing - but will browse and see what comes up to interest me.

The only Olympic sports I would normally watch outside of the Olympics are football and cycling................so they'll be my main two watching sports. Football is pretty straightforward but cycling has the road races, time trials, indoor track, BMX, not sure if they still have Mountain Biking but I never really got into that one

I used to watch athletics a lot but have gone off it recently but no doubt I'll watch that, tho' I do get fed up with all the heats and the false starts

Looking forward to the marathons.............I hope it isn't the London Marathon course but a more imaginitive route which shows off different sights of the City

I won't watch the swimmimg but I'll almost certainly put it on if there's a Brit in a final and someone mentions it on here in time for me to catch it............that goes for a lot of sports, I'll more or less watch anything where a Brit might get a medal as long as I know about it in time...........

I think this might be a problem with these 25 ? channels in that everybody will be watching different things and might not be aware of what else is going on at the same time

For example you might be watching a tennis match which goes on for 3 hours on one channel and be completely unaware that three Brits are going for Gold in the pool and Chris Hoy is winning Gold in the Velodrome...........that's why we'll have to make sure that we post what's about to happen in the sport we're watching !

Do they foul if they touch the ball with their feet?

Will be watching as much as possible as usual but this year I am looking forward to the road cycling as the route covers Box Hill and Bushy Park, two areas I know very well from childhood. Have fond memories of climbing to the top of Box Hill and sledging down

I always try to watch as many of the so called minority sports as they can sometimes offer the most unexpected results

I remember from the previous games BMX was one of the most exciting events to watch. A bit like ski/border cross at the winters. Proper racing with riders getting knocked off all over the place!

I'll be watching that along with the usual favourites - Athletics, swimming, gymnastics plus anything GB has a chance of a medal in.

Oh and the women's beach volleyball obviously...

I'm really looking forward to the basketball.

It's not a sport I really follow but I have tickets for some of the games (not sure which). This could be the start of the sport becoming really big in the UK.

(Currently watching GBR getting stuffed by USA in a warm up match on ESPN)

I didn't even think about looking on BBC3. It just seemed natural ESPN terittory. The US commentary was interesting as I didn't have a clue what they were talking about.

Well, the game was certainly an education too. It's like watching Barcelona play Gateshead. Maybe we should try to get Twenty20 cricket into the Olympics.

Yea watching it on tv, it looked like an NBA venue, not in Manchester.
