Absolutely not true, I run smoking cessation classes and it takes 15 years for the risk of heart disease to return to that of someone who has never smoked. Admittedly, Lauren is young and so it would probably be a bit sooner. 8 hours is how long it takes for carbon monoxide to leave the body and for oxygen levels in the blood to become normal. It is not when the risk of smoking related diseases returns to normal.

I think this is my problem with Becky. I find the jokes and the hatefulness about her weight unecessarily cruel but she is just...like a stereotype. You can see glimpses where she is extremely unconfident and seems to really hate what size she is, but she seems totally against trying to lose weight? I don't know, I'm not a mind reader and if she's perfectly happy with herself then good for her, just don't take it out on the other HMs who watch what they eat I guess

That is rather an unfair description, and I speak as someone who much prefers Deana to Becky. Deana was not just 'reading food labels', she was telling Becky, who clearly didn't want to know, how many calories there were in the food she was eating. "There are 400 calories in that!" is not just reading a food label. She went on to make several other remarks, asking whether she would like to be thinner and whether she had ever tried to diet. I think that was rather rude, as unasked for advice tends to be.

I would have more respect for her if she hid food and stuffed her face (showing us that she knows her eating habits are wrong) but she rejoices in her gluttony..

Also, I am sure she is not thick, so why did she not go for quantity over quality with the shopping list. I make my own donuts at a fraction of the cost. If it is food she wants buy filling foods and not empty calories.

I am a smoker and unable to kick the habit, but I will smoke 1/2 ciggie at a time making a pack of 20 last 5 days or more sometimes. I'd love to smoke more but can't afford it so I comprimise. Becky does not seem to have heard of that word.

As for mentioning the fact that morbid obesity (for Becky is definitely morbidly obese, of that there is no doubt ... that term comes into play at a lower level than most people seem to realise ... ) is dangerous and can be tackled ... well yes ... Agreed. But Becky has recently shown herself to be an extremely unattractive personality, pathetically trying to get in with the insiders, (who will nom her the first time any of their own are in danger), and then, having got in with them, trying to consolidate her position by being sly, spiteful and malicious towards the outsiders.

None of which has anything to do with her weight and I wish all the playground bully posters on here would give it a rest. Especially as not a one of them would dare speak like that to an overweight person in real life. Just pathetic.

Yes she likes her food, but Becky looks healthy, she has great skin and hair and she moves around a lot.

Yes, food does mean a lot to a lot of people, that's why most celebrations revolve around food - romantic dinners, celebration banquets, wedding breakfasts, etc., etc. OK some people like it a bit more than others, it doesn't make them bad people. She's not a size 20. That is just fact. Nearly all the things she wears are elasticated probably so that she can squeeze herself into sizes too small for her. Which is another reason bits of her keep popping out.
