Kat & Alfie- Its still not working out for them in the Vic...
I think Lorraine Newman still needs to think about Kat and Alfie's future as landlady/landlord of the Vic...
I think they have drained the life out of it and there needs to be owners... Sharon, the most obvious Cora running it with Sharon and Alfie (but not Kat) A brand new family.... Kat would be good in the bookies if they decided to reopen that... |

Totally agree with you Vaslav, when I have switched on, you're right, there is no life left in the Vic now. I never really was interested in their will they won't they when they were first working together and still don't care for them being back in there. Peggy was great and I think Phil will sell it to Sharon, or dare I say sign it over to her as a gift.

The Vic is central to the Square it needs a strong character running it-
Sharon, my first choice Cora, my second choice or as I said a new family. Shane Richie may quit the show if Kat and Alfie are forced out of the Vic but Lorraine Newman is the boss not Shane Richie... |

Cora is obviously now been built up to be the principal matriarchal figure in the square, this was BK's plan and Newman will continue it. Cora despite her age would be ideal for the Vic but not on her own...
Cora has a big storyline coming up and it seems that Ann Mitchell is very happy in the show too... |

I'd love Cora to take over the mangerial role in the Vic and it would make sense if Sharon takes over for her to employ a manager as I imagine Dennis Jnr will be her focus at first.
I'd like to wait until Kalfie are out of the Vic before Kat's cheating comes out as I'd want Alfie to stick by Kat when they get kicked out but going back to it as a barman when he kicks out on the curb. I see the Vic team being: Sharon (landlady), Cora (manager), Alfie (barman), Ray (chef), Roxy (barmaid), Tracey (barmaid) and Patrick (glass collector/barman). |

I couldn't wait for Kat and Alfie to arrive back in the Vic but sorry, they have just spoilt the whole thing. Don't like them together at all.
All this thing about Kat and secret meetings with a lover, such a rubbish story line. Who the hell goes tripping off down the road in their highest ever heels and goes into a strange flat in the middle of the day dressed like someone who has the starring role in the Rocky Horror musical ?. Kat is such a trampish figure now, although she was made out to always be free and easy, it's becoming over the top now, it's not nice to watch. Kat and iAlfie just don't work together anymore, time for them to stand aside and let someone else run the pub, they can take their awful nan with them. |

I agree dantay24UK great line up but I would replace Ray with Jean, if Ray is the one having an affair with Kat he wont stick around...

The return of Kat and Alfie has destroyed their characters. They really should have been left in the past as golden era characters. I used to like and empathise with them but now I just hate them both. Sorry but a disastrous comeback.

The Vic is the ideal way of introducing a brand new family to the Square, something Eastenders have been extremely reluctant to do for the past 10 years or so, preferring to bring in constant extensions to previously established families and characters.
The Vic is the perfect way to get over the obstacle of finding a way to integrate them into the community and build relationships. It is the heart of the show and provides a forum for the characters to interact with every other character on the show. I would like to see it be used for that purpose, though I don't imagine it will. Eastenders are fare happier to introduce endless Brannings than to bring in anybody new, fresh and unconnected to anybody else and letting them build from there. Failing that, I'd like to see it go to Sharon or Janine. I also think Shirley would be good in the Vic if they brought her family back and, perhaps, had her take Jay under her wing, and they all ran it together. But certainly not the Brannings or any of their derivatives. |

Is this thread designed for Sharon fans to diss the opposition and suggest their girl for the Vic?
I think Alfie works well behind the bar. |

Kat should split with Alfie and work in the club. I am sure she could get a few punters over there

If/when Alfie finds out about Kat, I doubt she will still be living there
I can see Sharon taking over |

Actually, since Kat's return, I think they have been working marvellously in the Vic. It's the likes of this affair shite that drags it down, but when they are serving etc, they work fine.
I'd like to see a time with Sharon owning it, Alfie and Roxy running it with Tracey, Kat and Cora as bar staff. I like Kat in the Vic, but she isn't exactly Landlady material. |

I agree. The Vic has lost all it's personality and sparkle. It doesn't really feel like the heart of the square anymore.
