Hey everyone,

I wasn't sure if this was the right section to ask in, please correct me if this isn't the proper section. I am kind of new to the community.

Anyways, my question is about Season 4 of the new doctor who series in episode 1 at the end we see Rose appear then just go away again. I'm wondering why that happened. If a character is gone shouldn't they stay gone if they aren't meant to be? I haven't finished the entire new series yet but I would like to know why that happened. Is she going to be back or something? I'm just starting season 4 as I type this.

My questioning of this is because, 1 so far the doctor hasn't had a clear permanent character with him and he had Martha in season 3 then Donna now in season 4. I find it strange for there to be 2 full seasons of Rose, then she is stuck in the other world and now she reappears for a second. If a character was never meant to come back shouldn't they STAY GONE?

Just keep watching series 4. More cameo appearances from Rose happen, all very quickly. All is revealed much later
in the series, from the end of the episode called "Turn Left", which is mainly about Donna. It's a "Doctor lite" episode.

I won't say anymore about it. As River Song would say ... "Spoilers!"

It depends on your point of view. On these forums, there are 2 types of people:

1) Those who get the most excitement wondering what is going to happen and thriving on spontaneous events

2) Spoiler hounds (like myself), who want to know what is going to happen to whet their appetite for the most exciting bits.

The general rule on these forums is that, if a thread isn't marked "spoilers" in the title, you have to use spoiler tags, like I have below. If you want to post spoilers without tags, do so in a thread that has "[spoilers]" in the title, or create your own

I will give you a gist, but not every plot point. If you want more, I am sure someone else will tell you if you really want ALL the info.

In the Parallel Universe, Rose and Torchwood have found out that the walls between the parallel worlds have broken down somehow. To help Rose find the Doctor and avert an impending disaster known as "The Darkness", they perfect a dimension cannon which sends Rose back to our world.

This will tie into the appearance of the Daleks and Davros in the finale.

I dont think she should have returned and I agree it does ruin the idea of her actually being gone. But yes, she does return throughout series 4. I'm not to keen on this series and Rose's return is one of the reasons why, however there are some really good episodes in this series to, you just wait until you see Midnight, fantastic!

LOL Yeah it is but it's not a big spoiler, considering the fact that it's kind of obvious. Anyone who has seen tv shows before know that if a character just disappears its a clear way of saying the character is important to the show.
