What exactly does that mean ?

When faced with evidence that he was well enough liked by someone who worked with him every day for weeks you come off with an odd comment like that ?

What the judges needs for them to do is listen, pay attention and try and put what advice they have been given into practice.
I think some people on here are being a little dramatic, ALW was not unprofessional, I found him very restrained.
Lets accept we live in alternative realities then - though I'm not the only one who believes ALW has shown bias and manipulation throughout - and not just with Nathan.
Plus if last night's hissy fit is your interpretation of 'very restrained', I dread to think what your interpretation of 'unrestrained' would be. Taking an AK57 and mowng down all those he doesn't like? Or maybe that would qualify as just 'a tad impatient'

I'll copy/paste from another thread then I'm outta here so you can continue with these ridiculously laughable comments.

I am new to DS forum , but have read it for a long time. The rantings on here because the person THEY rated the best is out, is verging on hysteria.
Those of us who have watched the BBC programmes realise that ALW gets who he wants in the end. The only exception being Jodie for Nancy. However the GBP realised Jodie was good.
The GBP on Superstar have NOT voted for Nathan or he would not have been in the bottom two. Not everyone thinks he was right for Jesus and those of you who do will just have to accept this fact, without all this personal abuse.
Auditions in show business are cruel things. One is picked and the others told to go. Thats it. No time for "agonising"
. The losers just say thanks and go off to another one. Thats show business.
Why ALW felt the need to do this on ITV is beyond me. His shows will pull in the crowds- be it tourists in London or us. At the end of all of this Nathan has been shown up to be a petulant young man. As has been said, he has not done himself any favours with future producers . He was not good enough for the Voice( god what a terrible show) so second best would not be good enough for ALW- even if he does manipulate the results. Tim Rice has the last say in all of this whatever anyone else thinks.
You are all forgetting about the thousands of show people who tread the boards daily and face rejection. What would it be like working with someone like Nathan.
Anyway I will be ready after tonights show to read the personal abuse again for the contestants and ALW. Disgraceful comments- lispy, going bald, too small, big ears. Love to see some of the photos of the people making these remarks. glass houses anyone?

Yes please let us accept that.

As long as my reality has neither Nathan nor Nathan fans in it

I've noticed that you get a very distinct split on ALW shows between the musical theatre luvvies & the general viewers/occasional theatre goers. Who floats the boat of the former usually is viewed a somewhat bland by the latter. What is seen as a positive in terms of interpretation by the former is seen as overacting by the latter. OK - a generalisation but it is at the crux of it. I suppose the latter are looking for a star quality rather than a character for an ensemble cast.

That's a good point about an ensemble cast. Perish the thought that anyone playing Jesus would have more charisma than the rest of the cast. Er no...hang on a minute, that can't be right !

I'd say that Roger has charisma too though- whether or not he's the best for the role, he has presence.

The role of Jesus has to be played by someone you can't take your eyes off, then he has to be able to deliver the song 'Gethsemane', and he'd better make a good job of it, or else! I think the remaining contestants could all do that, all got charisma, (although have a little bit of reservation about David and his rock voice). But spare me the epithet,AlW, 'a thoroughly modern Jesus'. Just do the show as it was meant to be, taken from the Gospel of St John, the last few weeks of Jesus' ministry leading to his death on the cross. Tim Rice must be biting his knuckles!

I've only just had the opportunity to watch last night's show.

All I can say is Nathan really doesn't like ALW and ALW really doesn't like Nathan!

They both seem to rub each other up the wrong way.

I think it's probably good they have parted ways...

On a different note, Nathan and Roger have always been my favourites as they are both very charismatic on the stage. I did think Nathan was the stronger out of the two in their sing off. However, if Nathan and ALW can't get on, it's never going to work having Nathan as JC.

I hope Roger gets it now and if not, then Ben. Failing that, the other two are also very talented.

But I sincerely hope Nathan goes on to bigger and better things and that we see more of him in the future
