Yeah I was relieved when I heard about that, takes some of the heat off Marina. I think she'll do about 100k -120k by the end of the year.

She officially débuted at #31 in the US album charts with sales of 10,368. Obviously, it'll drop off into oblivion next week but that was still much better than I was expecting!

Without a hit single to sell this on and only one tv appearance, I'm really happy with this.

In other news, it's looking weird for Primadonna on US radio. It went through a series of negative updates but the last 3 days, things are looking better with all positives. Upto 46 on Pop radio. I was counting on KIIS to add her yesterday but it never happened.

Power & Control is at #274 or something in the UK itunes chart, its released tomorrow.
Hasn't done well so far.

But seeing as How To Be A Heartbreaker is the next single I think it will be a hit in the UK like Primadonna was

I was in Glasgow last week and heard Power & Control on Clyde 1 a few times during the week.

Yes it does

I'm not counting on this doing well, it's had zero t.v. promotion, the video has been out for what seems like months and radio have barely touched this minus a B-List placing on Radio 1. So it's understandable if it completely flops but it's still a great song and one I play constantly.

I love Marina but IMO the video was very boring, nice visuals and all, but boring.
It wouldn't work on UK tv.

Power & Control: taking flopping to a whole new extreme. I think this could outflop Shampain. But in this songs defense it's basically had zero promotion. Marina's not the sort of artist that can leave the country and hope a song sells. She did constant promo for The Family Jewels singles. When it comes to How To Be A Heartbreaker's release, she needs to be everywhere, just like she was with Primadonna.

BBC Radio 1 have not play listed Power & Control, probably because it isn't charting at all! This is a major disappointment and I hope they back How to Be A Heartbreaker in October!

Yeah, it's been taken off the B-List, not surprising really.

While things may be looking bleak as shit here (album's flopped out the top 100 and Power & Control is set to outflop Shampain) Primadonna is doing relatively well on U.S. radio. Whilst her daily updates are still quite small, as long as she keeps scoring positives on radio, she'll crack the top 40 very soon. It still needs to get more stations on board but there's still time.

Currently 44 on Pop radio and lingering in the top 500 on iTunes.

I agree. HTBAH should chart a lot higher given the fact it's not currently on the album. It should also help the album sales too!
