Anyone out there missing Mandy Salter?

I loved her return and her time on the show.
Since Bk took over, this has most probs been the best comeback from his work.


I hope lorainne brings her back at some point

She was brilliant. Such a sweetheart. The women who differ a bit from the norm (Glenda, Vanessa, Mandy) never last long. Viewers don't give them a chance at first and by the time they finally win people round TPTB have decided to give them the push. I hate it.

yeah i agree, i suppose to fit Ians tramp storyline they needed her to go.

But she did hint she would like a return, i hope she comes back and hunts Ian and she gets stalked and thinks its Lucy&Ian but it turns out to be Aiden.

I'm really missing her She had links to old EastEnders and was memorable, but was still basically a blank canvas. She was perfect to be a modern day legend of the show.

Please bring her back, but don't put her with Ian.

BIB - I think the biggest cotributing factor to ian's breakdown was ben admitting to murdering heather and the guilt of keeping it a secret as well as the pressure from Phil and also his money troubles after buing bac the cafe. Mandy was only a small bit responsible for it. also its ian's fault that lucy and bobby are hiding from the baliffs because he got himself into debt

It's now highly unlikely that Nicola Stapleton will ever return as Mandy Salter she was a mate of Kirkwood's and as her last time in the show was around the time Kirkwood officially left EE as Exec.P. in March-April time, then it is surely no coincidence that it panned out that way for both parties!
The character Mandy obviously wasn't in love with Ian at any time and used him and his money as a foothold back into the Square after 20 years away.....by pretending to like him and befriending Bobby whilst trying to play "mom" to make it look as if her being there held no other motives. Lucy was obviously mature enough to see right through it all, even though a deeper side came out from Mandy's character once her Mum showed up for that episode or two.

I think Nicola decided to leave because she said she was writing a sitcom before she went back and has now gone back to doing that as well as starring in a new film.

I would love to see her back. Pairing her with Ian was a strange decision but I thought they worked quite well in the end. If they brought her back though I wouldn't rehash it I'd try something new with the character.

I also agree with the OP that Mandy was the best comeback under BK. Her return had less fanfare than Kalfie's but worked 100% better.

If Tanya doesn't come back or her and Max split, I'd like to see Mandy return and get with Max. Two great actors and worked well the little we saw of them. Plus it would be interesting seeing her be a stepmum to Lauren and Abi.

I am missing Mandy but i loved her storyline with Ian. The fact they based her character too much around him, is what allowed her to be very limited. It reminded me of Vanessa Gold in a way. They based her character too much around Max. But thankfully Mandy never wore white a lot and would actually be seen talking to the other characters.
