Tiny bubbles normal on tint job?
Hello
I need help/advice from anyone who had their car windows tinted or from a professional who does tinting. I've had my car all windows tinted 12days ago for £150, now it appears after closer inspection that there are like 100(more than 10 on every window maybe 50 on the rear windscreen) tiny specks/bubbles scattered on all of the windows. I then inform the company where I had it tinted and I was told to take some pictures of the bubbles and email it to them, after a few hours a tinter from their company rang me and told me that he'll do the rear windscreen only because I am very picky, he told me that tiny specks are normal and no company can do a perfect job, I then said a few maybe less than 10 could be reasonable, but a hundred is not acceptable. I am going back to the shop on Monday to have that back windscreen redone, and he said he'll have a look at the other windows and I've got a feeling that he won't do the other windows, if thats the case can anyone please help me what to do. Am I being reasonable or am I being too picky? I am not really sure what a normal finish tint job suppose to be. Is it normal to have more than 10 tiny bubbles on each window? Many Thanks in advance Here are some pics http://sdrv.ms/QGQwXa |

Is it a proper company or a man with a van / house, not a very professional looking job. did you see him do it, see a heat gun anywhere?

That is shoddy work I am afraid, couldn't see your pictures on the other site you asked (can now with your new link).
The bubbles are a pain to get rid of on the stippled outer of the rear screen and side windows but most should have been squeegee'd out. The specks are indeed dust from doing it either outside or with the doors open on the garage. The wife had hers done and they are perfect, a few fluid bubbles for the first couple of days but they disappeared after they dried out. That takes a week at most so you are right to want them re done at their expense. |

And get them to take the (probably) illegal tints off your front and front/side windows, before you get stopped and issued with a £60 fine (never mind invalidating your insurance - which, I assume, you've told them about the customisation ???????)
