Does a woman wearing an ankle bracelet on left or right ankle mean something?

I thought it was just a bit of jewellery but I read somewhere that if a woman wears
an ankle bracelet on the left ankle it's a sign she is married and in an open relationship
if it is on the right ankle she is a lesbian.
Anyone else heard this?

Rebekah Brooks (nee Wade) always wore one on her left when editing the News of the World.

I don't know why I know that.

Well I'm currently wearing one on each ankle so god knows what that makes me

I've never heard of an anklet meaning something, I just tend to randomly pick which ankle to wear it on.

Is this like men wearing an earring on their left or right ear...?

I thought such daftness had been left behind a while ago.

I think its all a load of smelly stuff. When I was a child, wearing one on your right apparently mean't you were a prostitute.

When I was young it was a sign that a woman was a prostitute, but not now.

No-one else wore such jewellry in those long ago days.

Is there not a similar thing with watches as well? Might be bollocks though.

What, are you saying there's a similar thing with bollocks as well. Now i'm going to have to worry which side i wear my bollocks on, it's usually one each side. What does that mean?

Also, i wonder if there is a meaning to which side you position your willy.

Growing pampas grass in your front garden "means" you are a swinger.

Same here. Not an item of jewellery that I'd choose to wear, as common as someone dripping with sovereigns. My own opinion of course, people can wear what they like, even rings on their toes. Urghhh!!

A lot of this "such and such a piece of clothing means something" stuff ends up being urban legends.

I wear one on my right ankle sometimes, not because I'm gay (I'm not gay) but because I'm right handed. Don't know how that relates to my ankles, but there you go.

I always thought you wore your watch on the wrist of the hand you don't write with? So if you are doing something with your favoured hand (no dirty mind please!) you can still easily look at your watch to see the time?

It means she has to be home by 8 or she has broken her curfew.

I knew it as a sign of being a prostitute making it easier for guys to pick one up.

As if that is difficult. A polite no is often not enough and some hang around like a lost puppy.

Lol

I really like girls with ankle bracelets, its sexy and I think I can tell the difference between a prostitute and someone who has been to Claires Accessories.

Similar, but with men that usually means active (L) or passive (R). Then of course there's always this...

Yeah, that seems to be the idea. I know a few people who do the opposite though. I wear a watch on either hand depending on my mood, although I'm fairly ambidextrous anyway.

What a load of guff. I wear one on my right ankle because I find it easier to put it on there and I'm right handed.

Prostitutes used to wear them to indicate availability.

A left handed person wears their watch on their right wrist and a right handed person wears their watch on their left. I thought, anyway.
