BBC Alba Freeview Channel 8
I was watching BBC Alba on sky the other night and it said BBC Alba Freeview Channel 8 I went upstairs and put on my Freeview on to see if it worked but it was not there is it coming to freeview or is it only available in Scotland is I live in Northern Ireland and can pick it up on sky

BBC Alba has a placeholder on Freeview channel 8 in Scotland only, but it does not begin on the platform until 8 June.

Hi there. I think that BBC Alba when it launches on Freeview channel 8 will only be avalibale to Freeview viwers In Scotland the same as Tele G was exept BBC Alba will have longer bradcasting hours on Freeview.

BBC Alba will be available in Scotland from June 8 when DSO starts at the Blackhill transmitter.

Just to confirm, BBC Alba is on the air now, the EPG was only updated sometime in the last couple of hours.
