It seems that Series 5 of Being Human has finally started up again and Twitter posts have posted a pic of the script for the first episode ...

So, here is a thread to discuss any spoilers/casting for the upcoming fifth series of Being Human, due to air on BBC3 in 2013. As well as speculation/hopes for the upcoming series as well.

No idea, but I'm intrigued to find out myself.

Filming is starting soon, been checking Twitter and the cast are doing read throughs for the first three episodes at the moment.

He could do if they do flashbacks to Hal being locked up in that monastery or he could still be tied to the chair in the first episode of Series 5 and Tom/Alex might not have shaved him.

SFX have the results of a poll of things people wanted for the upcoming fifth series. These include ...

1: Be Human: The show not to get too steeped in supernatural wars but for Tom/Hal/Alex to continue to try fitting into society again.
2: Don't Ignore The Mythology: Question from Series 4 needs answering.
3: The Hal & Tom Show: People love that friendship and want more of it.
4: No More Twitter: The announcer needs to stop with the tweet reading at the end credits of each episode.
5: Don't Rethread Old Ground: No Hal/Alex romance apparently or him going all murder happy. Housemates as mates.

Any thoughts guys on these?

What would you like to see/not see in Series 5?

oooh how exciting....every series gets bigger and better! Cannot wait....Moloney actually looks tasty

great to have em back!

I love the idea of continuing the core basis of the show....returning to being human and continuing the mythology/concept of series 4 into series too....bring the show full circle.

No romances but always love Hal/Tom subtext

Those were just what SFX readers seem to want for Series 5 but they're good requests that I agree.

Hal/Tom subtext, oh yeah but I like Hal/Alex too though.

Alex has got a sassiness akin to Amy Pond. Must be a Scottish thing.

subtext is safer than intense relations....but its pretty good "fan w^nk"

But i do see what you mean will be interesting to see how she develops!

Also the show's moved on from the original gang.

It could just be a well known actor/actress from another show more than likely.

Filming for Series 5 started yesterday, nothing spoilery so far has been revealed but there are 11 weeks of filming to do (and presumably some ADR/pick up shots as well).

So filming will be done well before Christmas? That's earlier than I thought.

With that in mind and the fact that I really want Toby Whithouse to take over on Doctor Who when Steven Moffat leaves, It would be feasible for Whithouse to film a 6th series of BH in the latter half of 2013 and jump to DW the following year.

Please let it happen ...... I might make an offering to Zeus or something ........ Can any anyone think of a better combination to follow Moffat+Smith than Whithouse+Moloney

Yes, they should be finished around October/November time, once they've done post production and photography with the cast as well.

Apparently some spoiler pic was posted but quickly deleted - damn.

I'd love Whithouse for Doctor Who as well after Moffat, though it depends on whether he'd want the job as well.

At least we have his Series 7 episode of DW to look forward to. It's the third one.

Whithouse & Molony - works for me.

Just read on Twitter that Phil Davis will be appearing in the series as a disgusting/inhuman creature.

Maybe that was the special guest star they were talking about a few weeks back.
