obviously you're not going to re-create "that" line .. the "i will look for you, i will find you and i will kill you" line, but i'll see it purely based on how good the first one was.
Unlucky little brat isn't she

Judging by the trailer, even the Albanian sex traffickers got a better send off than the brat daughter's slutty pal who got taken in the first film.

Pah, they should have saved this plot for the third film.

This one should have been about Liam Neeson's housemaids being taken hostage...

New trailer released, think it looks fantastic. Seems like in this one both Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace go after the bad guys to get the mum back who is 'taken'.

'If i killed you, would your mother's sons come and seek revenge'?
'They will'.
'Then i will kill them too'.

Love it!

Loved the first film hoping this one isn't a let down!! Kinda skeptical though!!! Hopefully the daughters actings improved lol and wasn't her mother his ex wife, she was with another man in the first one I'm sure!!

My UK Blu-Ray is billed as the "Extended Harder Cut," and its rated 18, so I assume the cinema release was butchered.

The PG-13 version of the original was actually more cut than the 15 rated UK version with a shorter torture scene and numerous cuts to the shootouts/fight scenes. There's a difference of around 3 minutes between the UK's theatrical 15 cut and the US PG-13 cut.

The only reason that the "Harder Cut" is an 18 in the UK is because of the extended torture scene which features different footage to that of the UK cinema version (in the theatrical version Neeson attaches wires to the chair in order to electrocute the bad guy, whereas in the "Harder Cut" he stabs two spikes into the bad guys legs and then proceeds to electrocute him, the BBFC obviously thought that this made the scene more sadistic and slapped an 18 on it).

Whether there will be a similar situation with Taken 2 whereby the UK gets a harder cut than the PG-13 version remains to be seen. I imagine that either way, the film will be a 15 over here.

For me T2 looks better then T1....which didn't really have a great plot, but did have a great Lead and Action....this seems to have a great plot too and a stunning location.

Another film butchered to get that teen friendly 15-rated certificate in the UK If Dredd can get to No1 at the UK box office as an 18, i don't see why they can't leave Taken alone instead of making sure it meets the right standards to receive a 15 certificate. It's pathetic.

Oh for f*cks sake! Bunch of ar*eholes!

Now it's a 12A! Now it's not even teen friendly, it's kid friendly!

Absolutely pathetic decision!

Ah, well. Can't say it wasn't expected. At least we know there's likely to be an unrated release later down the line.

Not that I'm not pissed off. So fu**ing sick of everything being aimed at teenagers.

That's extremely annoying, i'm actually considering bypassing the cinema release now and just waiting for the uncut Blu Ray...

I should point out that the BBFC aren't the bad guy here though, it's the distributors.

I'll just wait for the uncut Blu ray (if there is one), not sure if those cuts are worldwide or not
Seems bonkers IMO to tone down the sequel so much given the theme of the films and the fact the first one was an 18 on BD.

Bloody right. It's time Hollywood started making films for grown-ups. There's clearly a market for it in the UK. I went to see Dredd last night and not only was it a great film made all the better for the explicit violence, there weren't any 13-year old chavs chatting and playing with mobile phones in the cinema.
