Gosh, I haven't even got past the first one....
http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...02at213443.png Completely and over-the-top thudalicious ![]() Thanks for the beautiful pictures, KK and Emma.....will have to find time tomorrow to take in all that deliciousness (don't think there's such a word, but who cares ) And thanks for all the explanations and views you express about the phawtaws and discussing those aspects of Matt that we all enjoy reading and hearing about....We have been so so lucky with all the amount of Mattiness we've been given.....it's been a Baker banquet...... ![]() Thanks MM for your description of your day at the O2.....it's a fantastic arena and so well suited to the gymnastics events. So glad you spotted Mr B, if only I had had the sense to keep looking down to the right of where we were sitting (where the banks of commentators were located) and I might have got him on my radar. Unfortunately the eyes are not what they were but maybe I might have seen some tiggery bouncy movements and realised it was him! Sorry you didn't get the job SkyBlue but so glad to hear that you've managed to secure another couple of months' worth of work to cover sick leave....sure something else will turn up for you when your contract ends! Better start getting ready for bed....feeling and have a busy couple of days with my grandson ahead of me. Swimming lessons, trip to the cinema, meals at Piz*aHut and long journeys around To*s R Us await us. ![]() CCM to all peeps, special POCs to a certain lady, and night night...... xx

Olympics Picspam - 03/08/2012 presenting duties
Evening all, on to today's introductory segment. Matt was back in blue (the shirt with the crown logo that has appeared on many One Shows) and was linking in to the rowing from Eton Dorney. We seem to be doing well for golds on his watch

Emma - there are some abbreviations used when describing Matt that have been around since Strictly really and early days on The One Show
![]() FBB - Fabulous Baker Boy (though this one is obvious) WoW - Window of Wonder - the bits of skin shown off when his shirt buttons gape. It happens quite a lot as he's broad across the chest and wears slim-fit shirts. Nobody objects to this ![]() SNW - Strictly Not Waxing - back in the Strictly days Matt proved you didn't have to wax your chest to look good. If he undoes a couple of buttons on his shirt he tends to show off that he still doesn't wax

Just finished watching gymnastic trampoline commentated by Mitch and Chris. Mitch was yelling ‘yeeeeessssssssss’ at some point which made me thought of Matt. It wasn’t a great fun for them without having the lively witty boy Baker in the commentary box. They probably miss him dare I say.

Is that Jan Moir in the Daily Mail a real one or a shadow one? Some people have shadow pan names though. They could even create multi-accounts if they want. I do feel very sorry for them to be honest. Every day of their life, 24 hours a day is bounded to moan and whine about something/someone they dislike/hatred. Their nerves and blood pressure would have gone up high every time they see those they dislike/hatred are much loved and appreciated by many. It is in fact one of the unbearable feelings deepening inside and they are carrying it every days of their life but that is their self-infected problems and no one is responsible for that other than themselves. They would never find the true peace of mind if they carry on cos they are under the curse of being miserable themselves. They might think it is the way they can open their chest to release their irritation or disliking but it is just a temporary relief. Life is too short. If they don’t release themselves from that curse to learn to ignore or to be cheerful, they would forget what the most important things in their lives are. The fact is that they have future ahead of them like everybody else but they would fail to see the reality. When they realize, it might be too late as time flies so quickly. Have a good weekend everone! ![]() Night all! |

Evening......!! Had mega upset earlier due to computer freezing. What with the mouse having a breakdown yesterday and then computer doing a wobbly, I felt a bit
and a bit But I managed to revive it by the tried and tested method of turning it off via the main switch, and then turning it on ![]() Failing miserably to keep up-to-date with all things Matt. Am trying desperately to look at all the pics (thanks to KK for the latest ones) ...the Lympics are so exciting that I'm spending the little spare time I have on attempting to catch-up on the GB sporting events and achievements. It's all a bit exhausting and I had a tiny catnap late this afternoon after seeing Mum! Busy day with grandson, completed most of our to-do list, and we are entertaining him again tomorrow. Feeding the ducks and having a drink at the riverside cafe may be on the cards, dependent on the weather (possible slight drought ) Thank you for your kind thoughts Lotus, I do have times when I sink under the weight of responsibilities......it's a good job I have the FBB and all his exploits to focus on and give me some cheer ![]() Matt had a quieter day today, let's hope he was able to spend a bit more time with Team B and also have forty winks before starting to swot up on the next round of gymnastics events. One good thing, by now he must be very au fait with all the gymnasts' names, countries of origin, their strengths on particular apparay'us (loves how he says that!) and how they are likely to perform. I'm so pleased that most of the twitter comments are favourable about his role and delivery.....you always get some obnoxious people carping about him.....but the majority of the tv audience seem to relish his enthusiasm and excitement about gymnastics. Re Lympics, excellent result for And* Mur*ay, he worked so hard to win tonight! Felt so gutted for Bec*y A......there's always going to be someone younger and quicker biting at your heels (not literally of course in the swimming pool ) and it was rotten luck that the young US swimmer was unleashed in the event that we hoped Bec*y would win. Such a shame our swimmers haven't had the success they'd hoped for in general.......So CCM to all ladies, been a tiring day all round, and I'll complete me jobs, finish the hair, and at a late hour fall into bed! Night night..... xx

I wouldn't assume Matt is spending time with his family during these games. In pretty certain he's living essentially onsite as the BBC have booked out hotels for their staff. Travel is problematic and they can't risk staff being late for events.
Matt was seen at the Olympic Park broadcast centre at 10pm tonight. Add that to him popping into the studio with Gary at the start of the week and I think it indicates he's not heading on a train back home It's not surprising if that's the case - if the Olympics were overseas he'd happily commit to a couple of weeks away from home and did for Beijing. And actually I don't think this situation is much different for any BBC staff who live outside London. His family have been down to watch the gym but I don't assume they're staying in London - they might be but then again maybe not... |

Screenshots from Day 8 - Matt in the Olympics Park studio on 4 August 2012
Hello all
![]() Was it a coincidence or Matt’s reading our minds or was he lurking, I simply don’t know. I asked what was SNW last night and KK has answered. This morning he went for it. I was like this when I saw him. Anyway I’ve captured the screenshots while it was going on live. Quality wasn’t as fabulous as I captured on my PC at work though the pics still looks nice and he looks lovely. A lot of SNW, you all may describe. This is the first bits when he was chatting with Mishal Husain before his presenting duties. A lost more to come when I finished uploading as it is painstaking slow on my laptop. The good news is Team GB Rowing has won a couple of gold and sliver this morning while he was presenting the events.![]() http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-001.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-008.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-003.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-004.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-005.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-006.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-007.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-011.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-012.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-013.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-014.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-015.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-016.jpg http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/...040812-017.jpg |

. I haven't seen this yet today so it's great to see these pics and he looks amazing. I think that's my favourite shirt - first spotted when he returned to The One Show with his beard http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...14at153002.pngSo, we mention SNW and Matt wears one of the best shirts to show it off the next day. I feel, at this point, I should mention that it's ages since we saw him shirtless ![]() ![]() (will that work do you think? It is my birthday tomorrow so he could be nice to me) ![]()

Hello all – it seems everyone is enjoying the views of the man on telly and in the pics. I will post the rest of screenshots tomorrow.
Quote:
His presenter wouldn’t say a no if he was asked the shirtless scenes by the director. All CF/SB production team (and the market research team) need to do is planning ahead, seeking new wonderful spots across the country and then generate their ideas, put them together, write the scripts and let their boy Baker to present it. He would do a fabulous job and they can call it the Baker’s Britain if they like your proposed title. I saying is easy and making a well-accepted film/series is a tough job but their hard work would be all paid off if they make it interesting. And I’d say the girl like Allison (the shepherdess) is the lucky one as she can personally enjoy the view, oh…… I mean the views (plural). It’s a nice shirt and he looks v handsome in your pic but I don’t like his trimmed beard on the OS that much. He looks gorgeous because it is his natural pleasant looking personality. My favourite beardy is the untrimmed one on the extreme walk CF episode. The close-up in the pancake cave is a fabulous shot done by the camera man and this is the one you would like to draw a portrait of him to capture his well-placed facial features and those looks in his eyes. My favourite shirt (might be all time) is the blue and white check shirt he wore on the beer barrels rolling CF episode cos it nicely fitted on him and he was in great shape. This kind of design would keep him to be toned up himself to look great. I don’t think he can read our minds re - SNW. If he wasn’t lurking it might be the telepathic connections between him and us. Only joking but I was in disbelief when I saw him. We mentioned it and he demonstrated it according to your definition within next 12 hours. That’s shocking me. Wow! Ben won gold on Men's Finn! |

What a wonderful medal filled day we are having. as well as a certain commentator sounding as if he's hit the ceiling. Really conveys the excitement of the event and the technicalities Loved the pommel 'orse and those 2 wonderful young men - what a credit they are. AM and Ben as well - things are getting better and better. |

Mitch said Berki is the worthy champion. I think Louis is as well.

Was it the Dorney Lake that he did kayaking on the Countryfile last year? I remember him saying they passed the 1000m marks so no wonder his shoulders were burning.
You will see it was raining there towards the end of picspam.
. That's a fantastic amount and he looks fabulous!

and have a busy couple of days with my grandson ahead of me. Swimming lessons, trip to the cinema, meals at Piz*aHut and long journeys around To*s R Us await us.
xx

Hope to be able to see more next week
