I know, but being horrible to people close to someone he gets on with is something people like Johnny do. Peggy interfered in his relationship with his daughter, so he wanted her to pay for meddling. Johnny wanted Dennis gone, so took out his frustration on Sharon. He can go from smiling politely at someone, like Dot, to having the man she wishes was her son (Dennis) killed, before going over to his widow to offer his condolences. He was evil.

Derek, given the right circumstances, will do the same, except he doesn't put on a "classy" front like Johnny did - he's polite to most people, in a loud, "I used to be a thug" type way. Like Nick Cotton.

I'm Indian myself and half the time I don't even believe all the crap about "we were offended cos you showed a gollywog on a jam jar" or "you offended us Muslims by turning on the Christmas lights" ....it's all hype...but it is my feeling that it's not even a majority of the race in question that makes these complaints; it's people who have nothing better to do and utter nonsense that has turned political correctness into a farce! I mean Carole's boyfriend Alan WAS a BLACK boy....why would anyone be offended by that....I do want to say "let's call a spade a spade" but I'm scared I may OFFEND someone!

I agree. Roxy, too. And of course he slapped Carol, threatened Patrick and beat up Tyler (I mean, I don't care about the Moons, but that was a cheap shot). He was willing to fight Phil, after being floored with one punch, but we got to see Phil dodge his punch with ease.
