since Lucy Allan left the show and its been revamped whos reign have you enjoyed most as ep Paul Marquess, Gareth Phillips or
Emma Smithwick

im torn between Gareth and Emma she started of some great ideas but turning doug gay really turned me against her wrong way to bring the character

any thoughts?

Paul surely.

He made bad choices but brought us Brendan Brady did he not and some other brilliant storylines such as Silas Blissett, therefore he gets my though.

I do think Emma will do well, she just needs to chop down on her casting, how do they afford all those actors. Especially if they do naff all!

Paul Marquess - he brought the show back on top, and he got me hooked again. Only after he left, did we have problems, I think Tony Wood was running the show at that period, but it became almost as bad as it is now from April last year to June. Then Gareth Philips episodes started, and it improved, however he was very good but he also brought in the dreadful sixth formers!
Emma Smithwick - look at the state of the show now, need I say more? Lucy Allan mark 2.

Gareth was the best it's a shame has reign was short lived. Emma is awful and Paul is the worst soap producer ever and would not wish him on any soap, the only good thing he did on Hollyoaks was create Brendan.

Emma hasn't been there long and Gareth HAD to do that as it is the soaps theme since the beginning to have new 6th formers every 2 - 5 years.

Paul. He was a complete pro. Great characterisation, unusual stories, believable relationships, good families. The show went a bit mental, specially after the fire reedits, but yeah. Brendan/Ste, Mitzeee, Silas, Rhys/Jacqui, Nancy/Darren, need I say more?

Gareth oversaw a great period last summer when PM's storylines came to fruition.

ES's work I don't really like, tbh. A lot of it feels completely random.
