GO ON - Season 1 US Pace

Go On is an upcoming American comedy-drama series starring Matthew Perry as Ryan King, a sportscaster trying to move on from loss. The series, created by Scott Silveri, was given a series order on April 20, 2012, and will air a preview episode following the Olympics coverage on August 8. The series will officially premiere in its time slot on September 11, 2012, airing Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c after The Voice.

So first episode in tomorrow night in the US

After their Olympics coverage? Doesn't that finish at midnight tonight on NBC??

Its got a good timeslot in September though... will be interesting to see if Perry can make this work following the one season of Mr Sunshine.

It's scheduled at 10/9c this evening, NBC's olympic coverage has pretty much been 24/7 (if you include Today).

Has this show been picked up by a UK broadcaster? Just watched the pilot, thought it was rather good.

Not too bad but I think this is a one season show.

The only good thing is that Laura Benanti is in it. I thought she was good in Eli Stone.

My thoughts exactly, lots of potential, but I still can't see it going past 24 episodes.

SIGH

I can't believe they're trying this shit again with this guy.

I said to myself, "well, it gotta be a little bit different than every-****ing-show he's ever been in... not again with the snappy-snarky crap and _nothing else_? Surely?"

But no. Nothing.

Typecasting worked for Jeniffer Aniston and Jenifer Lopez so why not Perry? Although I didn't think it was that similar to anything I've seen him in

Someone in the US tv industry is making it their life's work to keep Matthew Perry in a job. Somehow, I don't think this agreeable but forgettable fluff is it.

Not a bad 2nd episode, I liked the bit with the cats. The ginger one in the box was cute.

Second episode was good. Although the ratings werent as strong as The Voice or The New Normal. Hopefully this show doesnt get cancelled but best bet would be it gets cancelled by mid-season

I saw the pilot a few weeks ago and thought it was a bit "blah". It wasn't bad but too mediocre to stick with it. I didn't even bother to record the second episode.

Wasn't sure whether I was going to bother with this or not, but I'm glad I did, it's far from brilliant but it's enjoyable and some of characters do show potential if developed and now we know how Chandler would cope with Monica's death .

I've only watched the Pilot episode and I really like it. It has heart, which is really rare in US comedies these days. I know it'll probably get cancelled sometime in its first season, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
