i think i mentioned tooth people honey so next time i'll change it to bunny rabbits and it'll be a lovely fluffy post. :.) i did get there, and it was very complicated, but i'm now back and having a glass of wine



aww ((emily)) dogs really don't help the cause do they i'm trying really hard to be independent because i don't have anyone i can rely on. it'll be an absolute blessing if i get a bit of help, coping strategies and that, but got none just yet.. no one should suffer just walking about, but a lot of us do i guess.

i've made such an effort keep going out to buy stuff i've ended up with masses of milk

Well done you - although you didn't need to store up so much scary stuff for the one day, makes me dizzy thinking about it!!

As your body gets more used to it, the anxiety will subside more quickly, but until then you just have to grit your teeth and breathe through it - can you breathe through gritted teeth

ETA - maybe you could celebrate by taking a bath in milk

wow what a day!

i got up late, worked out my route to the dentist and set off. i had to go up a few streets then out onto a really busy road, up the massive busy road, past a laying down dog, then up some more streets, through a dodgy path and down a narrow road of really cute little houses - half of them were boarded up! such a shame, i'd love to put one to good use.

the dentist did a sort of inspection and then she offered me a scrape and clean so i said go for it! feeling all brave. except i was really jumpy. she managed to get me half relaxed and did it in little stages but she only did a bit. presumably because she didn't want to be with the same patient all day!

i went back a different way, along a narrow pavement with buses passing me from behind (bit of a mistake that bit). and then across a big road and it was all going ok until i saw a muscly dog running towards my path. i couldn't face it so i had to cross the road again immediately and not at the lights. then i ended up in completely the wrong place next to a complicated junction i've never crossed before, so i stuck with some people and muddled across behind them. then to the shop and home.

i was so pleased with myself i decided to go out again straight away, nearby this time, to a different supermarket to spend a voucher so i have a nice tea. i never go in there so i was a bit lost and it was all unfamiliar stuff. i don't really remember what i bought (ha! fridge surprises again! i've just found a cucumber half!) but i got a lemon mousse as a treat.

the anxiety didn't really go away (i wanted to see if it did eventually), but i think it was less at the end. 2 hours i was out! now i feel a bit wobbly and weird and i'm exhausted, probably because i was concentrating so hard. but a big chunk in the bank i think.

hi jojo if i'd said no to the bunny rabbit thing i'd have had to go back again and i didn't want that so i made that effort today. no more bunnies for 6 months, unless i volunteer to have the carrot nibbling done i don't think so

yes i did push the boat out. i'm glad i went to the other shop though, it's a few mins from my house and i've been putting it off (never in the right direction). but it meant i had salmon tonight instead of cheese on old toast.

i think i do grit my teeth a bit, with my tongue in between so i don't grind them and i've got ulcers now not so good on the breathing bit yet, still a bit snatchy. i'll try and remember that bit.
