I'll be very annoyed if they're knocked down! No need for that at all!

They are mostly being kept with some alterations (extra seating removed etc) so no need to worry!

Aren't they taking some of them apart and reassembling them elsewhere?

Think the Olympic Stadium, the Velodrome and the swimming centre have to stay as part of the visible games 'legacy'

Just need a major stadium south of the river and then all 4 corners of London would have a major international stadium

The velodrome will be invaluable for cyclists based in the south of England.

The Stratford stadium will be hosting Rugby World Cup matches in 2015 so hopefully it won't be in ruins by then

.. to be fair to Locog, planning to ensure the 'Athens experience' doesn't happen has been pretty deeply ingrained into the games preparations and I don't think you'll quite see that!

.. Greece have also had the misfortune of the financial crisis hitting them where it hurts and essentially plummeting into a very deep depression, which hasn't helped either...

The Beach Volleyball stadium at Horse Guards Parade should at least stay till the next Trooping the Colour.

While there are temporary structures that have held events, and they will dismantled, the intention has been that most of the major structures will remain in place, and will have local ownership/leaseship deals in place to ensure use for and by the general public.

The future use of the stadium, and by whom (primarily local football clubs) rumbles on.

I'm not 100% sure this will actually happen.
Most of the Mountain Bike course at Hadleigh Farm is on farm land owned by the Salvation Army. I cant see them allowing the public to have free use of the the land.

Most if not all the obsticles will be removed after the games as they are deemed to be to dangerous for unsupervised public use.

Is anyone on here going to the Mountain Biking and has never been to this part of the country before? If you have any questions please ask as I live very close to the course. It will be interesting to see what you are expecting and what you think of it after going there. I have walked part of the course as part of my work and it was hard enough walking it let alone cycling around it 5 times or whatever they do

One thing to remember its the only Olympic venue where you will not be able to get a beer or a glass of wine.

The canoeing rapids are staying and the public will be able to use them

The hockey stadium is only scaffolding anyway so will be dismantled in ten minutes. The pitch is being taken up and moved elsewhere. Last I know they were after a tenant and Orient was a possibility.

Obviously, most of them, Wembley, Lords, Dorney, Earls Court, The O2, Excel/Custom House, RA Barracks etc are all outside of the complex.

Basketball arena is being turned into a leisure centre I think, or is that the handball arena? I think one of them is being deconstructed
