Samsung G600
Hi, just wondered if any of you could help me..
I've currently got a Samsung G600 and I must have easily had it for about 5 years. Apart from a small dent in one corner and a scratch in another (it's been dropped a couple of times accidently) it's in really good condition. Just recently when I slide it up, the screen doesn't always come on and it stays black - I know it's working however as the keypad lights up. I've done a quick google and it seems it could be something to do with a slide cable or something. I'm just wondering whether it's worth having it looked at and replaired if it can be or if its time for an upgrade? I love the simplicity of this phone, it calls and texts and I can take pictures if I want to, or even use the internet (which is not very often). It took me ages to decide on this one when I got it so the thought of having to search through all the touch screens/blackberrys etc for something simple to use really scares me! Does any one know of any simple phones with a good battery, that doesn't really sing or dance? Just in case I need to go searching. Thanks. |

The same thing happened to my wife's G600 (She's a Luddite when it comes to mobiles
). I don't think a repair is on the cards because of obsolete parts . I replaced it for her with a Samsung Monte slider as it was the nearest I could get to the G600. No quite as solid but operates nearly the same....

Thanks for your reply, I've had to give in and get another as yesterday the screen quite literally stopped working when slid up.
Today, I replaced it with a Samsung Galaxy Ace and for the few hours I've had it - so far so good. |
